I don't mind changes, if it ultimately leads to Still finding a more settled and cohesive team. Bar Stewart and possibly Manning, I think Still has stumbled upon something that can finally get us moving.

Desertion

Nobody has really stood out yet. Not sure how Boro are at the top to be honest. They aren't anything special. If we had a decent forward we would have won easily.

He may have got lucky with the "bazzed" parry, but you could argue that he actually got enough on it to get it away from danager. He parried it at a fair lick, so not sure the Boro player had much time to react to it. We restricted them to next to nothing in the end, so i think defensively we were a lot more solid.

To be fair to McCarthy he didn't have a lot to do. The deflection on the shot for their goal did for him.

Would tend to agree with that. Stewart is trying, but physically I don't think he is at the required level. He looks like any tackle is going to snap him in half. Once again, we've tried to be too clever with our recruitment

Stewart looks like a gust of wind is going to knock him over. Needed a Che Adams type of player this summer. Instead we ended up buying a forward who is even worse than Mara was.

Wood is limited as a defender, but at least he wants to defend and not fuck about with the ball like he's a hybrid of Maldini and Beckenbauer.
