I think I see the big flaw in that statement. If.

This is the sort of shit that SR and Martin will be lapping up. They will believe that the style is vindicated because of these comments. I wish a manager would just come out and say Martin is a complete arrogant twat, and playing Southampton is going to be the easiest match of the season.

Might suit us if Liverpool don't turn up. Even then we would probably still manage to lose. -

To be fair, there's probably not a whole lot of difference between Bazunu, McCarthy and Lumley. -

Fed up with listening to the same bullshit week in week out. We got a result against Everton somehow, but that didn't change a thing as it was same old against Wolves. What exactly is the course? To be relegated by Christmas? -
THB would be the new favourite then. What would happen to Captain Jack?
-
Nope. He's far too close to the players. Fuck knows how he greets Stephens.
-
Lets see how that pans out if we keep losing games. Also I resent the fact that you seem to think that the Northam End speaks for the majority of the crowd. It may shock you to learn, but there are other areas of St Marys that are useed by fans.

He's quick to tell everyone his teams are brave though.
-
And a Cornish, um yeah........
-
Can't hide behind ref decisions all of the time. Whose to say even if the decisons hadn't been made, would we had gone onto win the games?

Football is a very simple game. Tactics make it complicated. Russell Martin makes is complicated.

We are a small city club that is never going to break the big club barrier, same as the likes of Brighton and all the rest. We have to maximise our playing potential to the best of our abilities, something we aren't obviously doing at the moment. The best we can ever hope for is a top 10 finish with decent cup runs, that is the ceiling for us. There is absolutely nothing wrong with "making up the numbers" in the PL.
-
I love mediocrity. It kept us in the Premier League for a long time. Out of interest, how did you feel about the 90's when we were whimpering and grovelling around the bottom every year? You must have fuckin hated supporting us back then.
-
It's more than that. I'd call it shameful and embarrassing. The club's culture is just rotten from the top to the bottom.
-
For me, the damage will be if Martin is still in charge next season.
-
I hate going at the moment. I feel no passion or excitement watching the team.I couldn't be less interested. I still go mainly because I still want my 12 year old son to grow up as a Saints fan. Ultimately, we are going to lose a whole generation of young supporters if the football on offer continues in this vein.

Am resigned to him staying now. If they were going to sack him, they would have done it Monday.
-
Least we forget he also claimed Bazunu to be the best goalkeeper in the Championship
-
The players aren't good enough, but he'll still find a position for Stephens on the pitch.
-
Trouble nowadays when you havs the threats of banning orders etc, you can get thrown out just for swearing at a game.
-
Not that we will be dining at the same table as Man Utd, so shouldn't think loyalty will be a issue.
-
If that truly is the case, St Marys will be half empty next season. To keep a manager in a job when the team got relegated without putting up a fight, is complete insanity. Do SR really think fans will accept Martin here next season if we do find ourselves back in the Championship?
-
Are you talking about Moyes? If so, surely a contract to the end of the season, with a fuck off massive bonus if we stay up. Both parties would then have the close season to explore options. If we don't stay up, he walks away and doesn't have to manage in the Championship.
