There is a reason for this. It was the total and utter lack of any sort of plan to play properly and competitively in the PL that has fucked us over. If you thought the basis of that team that struggled to get promoted was going to deliver in the PL then you are a fuckin idiot. Throw in a manager who would rather be best mates with the players and give them an easy ride then it was always going to be this way. Far too loyal to players and management. As a fan, I never expected to be watching my club like this, just waiting for the season to end. Football is supposed to be fun and enjoyable, everyone connected with Southampton, be it on the pitch, in the dugouts or in the boardroom have made this season the most gut wrenching season ever, and its still not over yet. So, by all means have a go at the fans, because as far as I'm concerned this club is fuckin lucky to still have people turn up each week home and away.

You are missing the point, Southampton Football Club are the flagship club in their multi club universe. The focus should be 100 percent on us, with the other clubs they own treated accordingly. An English PL club should come first in every possible situation. It's not messing up, its sheer incompetance.

So, if you think they can run a club successfully, why didn't they apply the same logic to running Goztepe as they do to us? Surely a PL club should be the centre of their focus, not some third rate outfit in Turkey? If you run a multi club model, surely your approach should be all about the biggest and best club in the group, the club with the more scope to make money? The club with the most resources and exposure?

You cannot compare the PL to the Turkish Super League. Bar two or three teams the other clubs are absolute dross.

The players were lost after Martin went. A squad that had it so easy under him just can't be bothered to put in a shift anymore, shouldn't matter if the manager is bat shit crazy. Players should still have some pride in their own performances.

Pretty much all of it to be honest. Attractive job with these owners? Nope. Squad of players who are good enough for the Championship? Armstrong we loaned out, why would he want to come back here? Downes has a problem with club he'll want to move on. Other players like Bednerek probably wanting to leave too. We got extremely lucky last season to go up with a squad ten times better quality then we will have next season.
