What situations can the fans accept with the new manager?
Dman replied to Nolan's topic in The Saints
First target is to beat Beat Derby’s record asap. Something Martin wasn’t going to do. Most are sensible enough to understand we’ve probably not got the side to stay up especially being soo far adrift now. I’d like to see someone come in and give us a bit of fight. Someone who is willing to accept than in all likelihood he’l be managing in the championship next season but he’ll have a bloody good championship side and a chance to bounce back stronger. I wouldn’t mind someone to get more out of the likes of Sulemana, tall Paul etc. and fuck the Martin fn boys (Fraser, Armstrong, Stephen etc.) -
I don’t think it would. You can tell this squad isn’t comfortable / doesn’t believe they can play this style at this level. 1 bit of encouragement to ‘fucking get rid’ and they’d jump at it

At this point I kinda hope we stick with him and he goes down as the worst ever PL manager. He’s just using us as a window for his career at this point, which is fine so long as its not detrimental to us as a club, which it clearly is. The arrogance the bloke has despite achieving absolutely f all in his career, is astonishing. He deserves all the shit he gets.
-
Absolutely spot on. Ironically, if they’d kept Scott Parker all season they’d have gone down.
-
Exactly why I’d go for Rohl. Back to direct, high intensity football which doesn’t require a load of technical talent. Just a fit, committed side who are coached well and know their roles on and off the ball.
-
I think you’re right. He scored goals for a poor Sheffield utd side last year, he started bright imo, I just don’t think he’s suited to RM’s style.
-
Every side RM has managed has been. Perhaps an issue with his tactics?
-
I hate XG, it’s nonsense, but put it this way.. We have an xg of 1.08. We could stick Haaland up top and if we’re not getting him the ball in dangerous positions, we’re not going to score. If we continually pass the ball to opposition forwards in our 3rd of the pitch, we are going to concede. Both of those are on the manager and his philosophy.
-
On a serious note, take away style of football, nice hair and hipster cucks.. Jones achievements as a manager, pound for pound, far outweigh anything RM has achieved.
-
Get RM’s cock out of your mouth, you cuck

Some on here just cannot see the bigger picture. It'd cost us £15m to sack him now and NOONE IN THE WORLD OF FOOTBALL WOULD WANT THIS JOB. We'll be getting £15m for him next season when Real Mardid come knocking... look at Komapny FFS!!! Sort term pain for long term gain in SR's quest to the be the best Yo-yo club in england.

imo should never captain the club again after that. 3-1 down, struggling with injuries suspensions as it is, absolutely no-need to do something which in this day in age you will not get away with. The wose part, it was from an attcking corner ffs.

Other than the obvious which CB has stated, my point was more that Luton (a squad full of worse championship players than our squad of championship players) managed 4 more points than us at this stage. Given their lack of resources, do you think they were trying to replicate 2008 Baraclona and giving teams 1-2 goals a game from mistakes trying to play that way? So to Lighthouse point, its not what a team full of championship players gets you. Its what a poor, niave, manager (whos only playing for himself at this point) gets you.
-
Luton had 9 points at this point last season. They currently sit 19th in the championship.

What would have happened when Markus' money dried up? at some point, he would have said enough is enough, much like Kat did. In general, Kat's leadership of the club was brilliant. She and those around her, maintained us as a PL club in a sustainble way. There was no way somone like VvD was sticking around when liverpool came knocking, regardless of who was the CEO - Same with Potch, Mane etc. Unfortunatley, our downfall was 2-3 seasons of poor recuritment. That's what eventually cost us.

Good morning saints fans As you all open the 4th door on your festive calandar, its all hands on deck at COT HQ, in preperation for GO TIME. I know it can be a long, tough couple of months waiting for the COT, so we agreed its only fair to give an update. I can't say too much at the moment, but it is going to be a very interesting window. Make of that what you will. Keep your eyes peeled, beware of the false prophets and remember, loose lips sink ships.

Lets be honest, Osvaldo was a brilliant player, known to the manager at the time. He was a total loon though, which ultimatley was his downfall... If anything Poch should have known that, so I'd argue that one is on him rather than Cortese.
-
I thnk we should just be greatful that we've got 5 points in such a tough leauge. We should consider ourselves blessed and proud to be watching these BRAVE young men, riddled with scar tissue, battle it out with the worlds best each week.

I made a thread after the Forest game saying we're going to beat Derby's record. I got called a drama queen and a bed wetter and the thread was closed. Its been painfully obvious that Martins football, which only managed to get us to be the 4th best side in the championship, would be a disaster in this leauge with the level of player we had.
-
Martin wont bring us back up. He just about managed it last season, he wont get that luck again.
-
If we got the ball to him in the box (theirs not ours), I actually think he'd be pretty sucessful.
-
Lets get something straight... . Martin is in no way comparitable with Ralph. Ralph is a pretty decent premier leauge manager. Martin is a mid-table championship manager. Martin has done nothing to suggest that he deserves to stay on for any games longer than he's already had (5 too many imo). It ended ugly with Ralph, he was given 6 months longer than he shoudl have been. Clearly, in hindsight it looks daft replacing him with Jones but he was spent with us and had we been a little more sensible with his replacement we probably would have stayed up. Its a shame the board threw money at Jones in January and not Ralph in the summer. Your reasoning is a bit odd if I'm honest. Plently of sides have made changes mid-season and been sucessful as a result. Damage limition for us now. We need to get to 12 points, which were not getting under this clown.
-
They're really good, we're really shit. Easy pickings - on par with the bournemouth game.. expect it might actually be worse (they're just better). If we're going to lose, I kinda hope its an ugly one. That'll hopefully stick a rocket up the boards arse.
-
So does AA. Doesn't mean he's good enough at this level and his lack of abaility to defend is causing us to conceed goals.
