I’m kind of tempted to register a complaint against the Telegraph reporter. He’s been writing inaccuracy as fact throughout this process, it was his article that claimed that Salt had professional surveillance equipment when it was an iPhone.
-
Makes more sense why they’ve been briefing left right and centre.
-
I’m sure the former Boro employee that was sacked by Southampton Football Club will be completely impartial when preparing his witness statement. Should be heavily discounted or ignored by the Panel in my view.
-
Also, in case anyone cares Norwich paper has confirmed they aren’t assisting Boro so all that ITK stuff on the Boro forum is BS it seems.
-
He called for tighter rules but called talk of a touch line ban for Bielsa “disproportionate”. The morality of the conduct is the same and he wasn’t calling for Leeds to get a points deduction or to be thrown out of the league or that the saga was a stain on the club’s reputation. Rules have changed but there are still no set punishments. This time he seems to have decided that the same conduct should carry a fine that is essentially 1000 times larger than that which was levied on Leeds.

Few of the more sensible journalists are starting to point out how ridiculous this all is. Gibson mouthpieces still frothing at the mouth and screaming
-
Sorry, are you saying you think Boro let us win on Tuesday because they knew we’d be expelled anyway? If so, don’t think you watched the same game that I did…
-
You can read it multiple ways. I don’t think they are laying the groundwork for anything but, if expulsion is one of the remedies available, then you have to flag to fans that it’s a possibility.
-
At the very least we should be asking the newspapers that employ all the journalists who wrote sensationalised and incorrect pieces, clearly based on a briefing from Boro without a fact check, to write retractions.
-
Maybe I am missing the point here, but why is the fact that only Hull have been told to prepare to play midweek a surprise? Surely the only circumstance where the final would be moved is where we’d been expelled.
-
So? Dragan won legal case against his own Government. If Gibson can hire a high priced lawyer, so can he.
-
Isn’t this sort of obvious? If the final is moved it’s because we aren’t in it…!
-
He has briefed the media that he does. Who knows what he knows or thinks he knows? If you think you have cast iron evidence and are going to get the outcome you want you’d shut up and let the investigators do their job. The fact that Boro have been briefing everyone who will listen tells you something about what they’ve got in terms of evidence…
-
The statement literally says that Saints will share ticket information today…
-
Agreed. I suspect that the wording about “subject to change” is included to placate that red faced c*nt “Gibbo”.

My gut says this is all about positioning from Gibson/Boro. They have taken a minor indiscretion, something that happens day in day out in every day practice in the league (regulations or otherwise) and are milking the fuck out of it. They have briefed every reporter they can get their hands on and are whipping up an absolute frenzy. They tried to use it to unsettle us during the matches themselves, that didn’t work. Very convenient for Hellberg to use his crocodile tears as a distraction from the fact that Boro have been pretty crap at the end of the year. Now that they’ve lost, they are doubling down even harder, they know we won’t get kicked out of the playoffs but, if they can force a settlement (Gibson has form for this vis a vis Derby) then why not? The handwringing over this is nothing short of remarkable. When Leeds were doing this you had Linkeker and co saying how much they admired Bielsa for his commitment to gaining an advantage, this time around you’ve got talking head James Corden and sanctimonious Henry Winter acting as if we’ve been bribing officials. My view is that we need to endure a week or so more of absolute hysteria and then it’ll be over and Boro can go back to being completely irrelevant.
-
The ticket information deletion excuse doesn’t really sound credible to me. We didn’t publish our allocation or any prices, we just published the order in which the club would allocate them…
-
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a more hysterical fan base. It’s really quite something.
-
He’s irrelevant. Bang average player and even worse pundit.
-
The meltdown on Twitter is absolutely glorious. Some of them claiming the ball boy’s behaviour should contribute to the case for expulsion. Heads well and truly lost.
-
Calm down Saints.
-
5 mins of injury time after a 15 min half? What the hell?
-
Don’t have a good feeling about this. Missed too many chances.
-
The difference in their reactions to fouls/tackles is almost comical. One bonus of getting out of the Championship is not having to listen to that tit Don Goodman.
-
Christ these comms are so pro Boro it’s unreal.
