Bit of an odd one. On day one of the window I would have given anything for a striker, now we've got one but are, instead, woefully short at the back. Typical Saints to take with one hand and give with the other. Let's hope he gets us firing as we will need goals to get points as don't see many clean sheets coming.

Got to wonder whether we are either very difficult to negotiate with or, being frank, too cheap. Whilst I appreciate that we can't spend recklessly it does seem to take us an age to complete deals compared to other clubs. Boufal in the summer and we've been negotiating for Gabbi all window. Palace probably just paid the fee to get the deal done whereas I wonder whether we tried to haggle too hard and Liverpool just found another taker.

I've said it in the past and I'll say it again Reed needs to keep his mouth shut. The regularity with which he says or indicates something is going to happen and then the opposite happens is getting a bit silly now.

Puel has a lot to answer for. If we can play with some urgency at the end why can't we do it all game? Don't get me started on the rotation as well. Done well to get to a final but need a change pre next season.
