The question is... How are they doing in practice, right?
-
This is an acceptable appointment for me. While inexperienced, he has shown great success on the quidditch pitch, and he has brought back teams from worse circumstances.
-
That can be said about any combo we have. At least they have shown some sort of life. What do you propose? More Ely?
-
"Proven" is somehow a luxury we do not have... The gamble I would gladly take based off of recent performances would be Sulle, Alcaraz, and Paul over Ely, Mara, and Stu. I am fine with keeping Walcott on the pitch to work with Paul until Che returns.

Your final sentence answers your first. The reason there is hate for Selles is his timid selections. He continues to start players with "off the ball" talents such as Elyounoussi over players that attack. We have the best dead ball taker in the world, but we wont drive directly forcing penalties. I'd rather watch 3 more 0-9 beatdowns this year and have us attack with some balls rather than another 0-1 loss with our only threat coming in the final moments when we finally played attack-minded players.

Surely if Nathan Jones can get a shot managing, we can hire this poster for next season. You have my full support.
-
Fingers crossed for not clear and obvious...
-
This aged well. Maybe its a sign that we are no longer the slump breaker?
-
Surely playing on the road requires slowing the game down, quieting the crowd?
-
I thought the league was going to crack down on the teams surrounding the ref. ManU seems to feel entitled to have a go on every call, 50/50 or not.
-
We found Nathan!
-
Thank goodness Jones is gone or this would be considered a disadvantage...
-
Alcaraz hurt during the slide? Comical season.
-
VAR... OMFG
-
To think, Stu's chance was the best all game. And look how poorly that turned out.
-
Bazunu overshoots the ball almost predicting a tip from Bednarek trying for the ball. Only, Bednarek dodges the ball skillfully.
-
Were we calling those crosses? They looked more like blind hacks towards the box-ish. Cross is too friendly and deliberate a term.
-
Raising that Chelsea price tag for next season...
-
Commentator - "Southampton fans must be wondering what has gone wrong this season..." Oh, we aren't wondering... Several of the reasons are on the pitch today.
-
Selles out - his pants fit. We prefer our managers in sweats that are 2 sizes too small for those package shots. Am I right?
-
Yes, but the players were smiling in this latter video. They were being told to smile by their manager in the previous. And what a morning we are all having...
-
It wasn't just the free-kicks. JWP was playing short corners from the left side to Perraud for out-swinging, sub-par crosses. All of this combined wreaked of overthinking simple plays. That has to come from above.
-
No one expected to be up at half... Can't remember the last time I was in this good of a mood at half. Damn near jovial.
-
If he chooses the wrong players??? I have seen nothing over the past months to think he is going to suddenly put together a cohesive plan. I fully expect to see Diallo and Ely on that pitch come kickoff.

Sidney, you sound like Nathan Jones blaming the fan base ><
