In a single game yes but over a season of 40 games or so they tell a story and as the stat corroborated what we say with our eyes ie he didn’t make many saves

You have a strange aversion to statistics and to say they play no part in assessing a players performance in football is nonsense. If a striker scores a goal a game that would tend to suggest he’s a good striker. Equally if a goalkeeper fails to save a high percentage of shots it tends to suggest he’s not much good at shot stopping. Looking at the stats regarding bazanu I’d say those aren’t a surprise given what we saw with our own eyes last season.

Interesting that we’ve sold a number of players for large amounts yet we were absolutely pants last season. We obviously had some decent players yet were a really shit team. Now we might just end up a shit team with shit players

Indeed but looks like that’s where we are heading my theory is they gambled in January spent ( wasted) a lot and thought if it’s goes wrong and we go down we will just sell the best players in the summer and recoup the outlay so there was little financial downside. Obviously in footballing terms it’s not great

We have had a cycle of signing shit players, trying to shift them and when we do signing more shit players and rinse and repeat. Sometime we even compound it by offering new contracts to the shit players whose contract is about to expire. The window so far has been a damp squib on the incoming front. As I said earlier we look likely to shift the decent players and get a few random loans in. Also people who think we are off better off rid of adams are deluded

I really think we have done this to death. General consensus is he’s not great, might be all right in the future ( personally I think he will never be anything special) , but we are stuck with him for the foreseeable as the alternatives are even worse and the club have now publicly backed him

If we believe enough he will come good.
