It depends on if 750 of them had it as a hereditary trait or not. You need numbers of protesters to make anything you have said make sense. Try and get hold of those numbers and we can continue this tomorrow. In addition, can you please post the link to the Home Affairs Committee report as I'd like to read it.

Why am I wrong? How many were at the protests, as that really matters to the points you're making? If there were 400 at BLM and 1m at the right wing, then obviously that means the arrests were over-zealous on the right side, and vice-versa.

Incapacitation (Protecting the Public): Dangerous people are locked away in prison. This stops them from hurting more people in the community. Restoration (Healing the Harm): The offender must repair the damage done to the victim or the community. Examples include paying money for damage or doing community service. Proportionality (Fairness): The penalty must match how bad the crime was. Small crimes get light punishments. Serious crimes get heavy punishments.

Well, it's been this way for 500 years, and it's not changed yet...you always sentence with context.

Sorry, I must have missed that - which cases are you referring to then? Crime's are crime's, 100%, but as I said earlier you have to understand context in law. It's a huge part of it and as such it makes a huge difference to the sentences handed out.

Can you please get us two similar cases, similar age/sex of defendant, similar previous criminal history, similar social media profile, same judge and then we can do comparisons. You can't (and I can't believe we're going through this again) just stereotype all these cases into one. Let's deal with some of these charges 1 by 1, and then we can have a sensible, detailed debate about it. What I would say, is BLM is protesting against the glamorisation of historic slavery and racism, which I think we would all agree is a good thing, whereas the immigrant protests are protesting for racism, so I think they're onto a hiding already.
