Except that isn't true. Nisotaki's appointment was reported about three weeks ago: https://trainingground.guru/nisotaki-leaving-norwich-to-join-sport-republic/

Nikola Ladan, the new head of international scouting, is a Swede and ex-Genoa, so at least now we know Spors is inclined to hire people he's worked with before...
  3. Fair enough. Really wouldn't mind freshening up the CB positions, we're overloaded with players in that position and it feels like we've been turning out Bednarek and Stephens forever and a day now. Creates room for Edwards, would need to add another if/when THB goes and then Stephens and Wood can be the backups Bednarek is a good Championship player but we're probably overdue for a parting of the ways there
  4. When I spoke to the ticket office on the phone they said emails would go out by end of day on Friday, May 2 and if you don't hear anything from the club then you can work on the basis that your ticket will be arriving via the post and will not require collection at Goodison
  5. QPR boss Marti Cifuentes put on gardening leave for unauthorised talks with WBA over their vacant manager's job

Really? He chats crap on radio all day every day for a living now, I don't doubt that he heard it from someone but I wouldn't be certain that it's gospel / fully accurate

Pretty sure this is nonsense. Wouldn't be surprised if we're open to an additional investor but selling at this point makes little sense Solak three months ago: "I feel completely at home here and I'm as passionate as ever to make this successful, I will do everything possible. That's why I decided to assume the chairmanship, I show everybody that I'm going nowhere and will do everything to make it work." As Saint Mikey said above though, everything is for sale at the right price and if someone really wanted us and made Dragan a great offer then he'd give it serious thought

Equally, could've heard it from his other TS colleague Alex Crook...
  9. Because Spors said it himself in his only interview since joining Saints? "A very intense style of football is something that fits here. This leads to my scouting processes. I think players need to be physically strong. They need to be fast. They need to have some aggressiveness in their mentality. If you just give these headlines to a scouting department there is already a clear profile. Then we will go into much more detail with our data analytics and traditional scouting."
  10. Liam Rosenior signs new three-year deal with Strasbourg, so you can chalk him off if you thought he was a potential option
  11. Hamer plays for Sheffield United and could end up in the Premier League. Agree on Sainz, he has impressed when I've seen him
  12. Some interesting post-match comments from Rohl: https://www.thestar.co.uk/sport/football/sheffield-wednesday/danny-rohl-extraordinary-press-conference-sheffield-wednesday-relegation-scrap-5090783
  13. Big yes please

He's got a good record at Championship level (in what you'd expect to be lesser teams...) and he was a couple of years younger when he was last playing at that level, so I still hold out a fair amount of hope of him coming good for us next season, if he wants to stay. I can't see that he's going to have options to go on to something bigger and better than Saints tbh and we'll need a couple of proven scorers at the level. But a Premier League striker, he is most certainly not
  15. Fair point re: Leeds. Perhaps misguided on my part re: TV picks vs general EFL scheduling under the new arrangement - but that's home and aways together and would be interesting to see home-specific breakdowns for the more high-profile clubs in the league I'd say with the amount of midweek games and with the last trains out of Southampton Central heading for London at 10pm (assuming the service actually runs as it should...) it becomes increasingly difficult to justify a ST if you're someone who lives in or north of London. Unless you're prepared to just drive in the evening rush hour and then back up late at night repeatedly, or shell out on overnight stays and shuffle work/personal life around repeatedly. And with those midday KOs, come even earlier starts for those who need to travel down. Respect to those who still want to do it, I was happy to do so on a few occasions a couple of years ago but it adds up fast I'm more likely to try and pick and choose some home games when possible, and maybe scrape away tickets here and there. Of course, there is also the new provision where basically all EFL games will be available to watch in decent quality either via Sky's new EFL deal or... elsewhere
  16. I'm not, but it's not to do with performances. I'm one of those who for better or worse goes for thick and thin, and I'd have renewed as a result, but the new EFL TV deal meaning far fewer 3pm KOs means I'll probably give it a miss. Too much travel involved for more 12.30pm and 7.45pm KOs next season compared to the previous EFL deals. I had a look at Leeds' scheduling this season, as one of the bigger/top end sides of the league and they were almost at a 40/30/30 split on 3pm vs 12.30pm vs 7.45pm
  17. Haji Wright, if Cov don't go up
  18. I read that she built/led Norwich's South American operation. They've done well finding players there: Emi Buendia, Gabriel Sara, Marcelino Nunez etc. Nice to see he is moving quickly and getting it re-staffed
  19. Ah yeah, Cooper would be good with me too. Not keen on Rosenior personally, too similar to Russ
  20. Danny Röhl, please
