Hmm, depends By all accounts, based on his media comments on his own experience of the playoffs and decisions such as training at St Mary’s the day before the game, the manager does not want to treat it as ‘just another game’

https://www.southamptonfc.com/en/news/article/be-early-bring-the-noise-and-show-your-stripes Official site: We’re encouraging supporters to turn out early, be in their colours and bring the noise, as we head into Friday evening’s playoff semi-final second leg against West Bromwich Albion (KO 8pm). The Saints team bus will arrive at St Mary’s at approximately 6.15pm, with food, bars and music from 5pm to get the party started. Supporters can also take advantage of discounted food and drink offers up until 7.15pm. Bring the noise and show your stripes The support this season has been brilliant, and now we’re asking supporters to take it up a level and bring the noise to be our 12th man for this important semi-final. We want the players to walk out to a sea of red and white as they arrive, as well as in the stands, so we encourage supporters to wear their colours. Whether it’s a new shirt or an old shirt, we’d love to see the Saints red and white army out in full force to make the most of an important second-leg home advantage. Supporters can take advantage of over 50 per cent off in the club store and online including this season’s shirt. Food and drink discounts Arrive early to make the most of your matchday, with 25 per cent off until 7.15pm - the discount will be made available via our app to redeem. The offer on our app will give a discount on drinks at the Gasworks and all other external bars from 5pm, and on all food and drink in the stadium concourses (open at 6.30pm) until 7.15pm. Simply show the app discount to our bar and concourse colleagues to redeem. Family Zone: Burgers and drinks. Food vans: Burgers, chicken, duck wraps, ice cream, churros and coffee (Discount not valid here). Concourses (open from 6.30pm): The usual offering including pies, hotdogs, snacks and drinks. Matchday entertainment We will be joined by a whole host of Saints Legends, with Matt Le Tissier, James Beattie, Franny Benali, Mark Dennis, Nicky Banger, Glenn Cockerill and Peter Rodrigues all in attendance at the match to cheer on Russell Martin’s men. Some of our legends will be making a guest appearance talk as part of our matchday entertainment, something you won’t want to miss. In the family zone, live music will be starting at 5pm and we will have face painters on hand for fans of all ages. From 6.45pm we will have competitions, prize giveaways and an interview with the British long-distance runner and local lad Mahamed Mahamed. He recently came fourth at the London Marathon and is the third fastest British marathon runner ever. Your kids will be able to test their skills in the family zone, with our gameday challenges. And don’t forget Sammy and Mary Saint will be walking around the ground, so feel free to stop them for photos.

Seems like it is random speculation, just a case of an editor tarting up a match report to try and get people to read about a 0-0. The reporter himself doesn't even really suggest it's likely. From headline, to sub-heading, to opening line it goes will, may, could... Headline: Russell Martin will likely pay with his job if Southampton fail to secure promotion Sub-heading: Russell Martin's job may well be at stake as Saints attempt to secure promotion Opening line: Russell Martin heads into Friday’s play-off decider against West Bromwich Albion knowing that defeat could hasten the end of his time as Southampton manager.

MLG coming back round for the world's most delayed victory lap

Have we really got this far without anyone suggesting Eni Aluko?

Four goals and five assists is a bit better than anything our midfielders have served up since January, tbf 11 goals and 10 assists in the league across Argyle and Boro. Decent signing for what they paid. Wouldn't mind someone chipping in with those sort of numbers

How many times have you heard him speak? I genuinely couldn't tell you what he even sounds like

Argh, annoying. Working here but guessing it's because I've already accessed it. Worth going to the 'plans and documents' tab once anyone has searched up the application.

They were in the playoffs in January and their owner rolled the dice. Think they brought six players in. Then went and won only three of the last 13 games to miss the playoffs and let Norwich catch up/get in ahead of them.

If PUMA could make Che Adams make the most of his chances then we should've signed them up years ago.

Looked like about 40 seats left a moment ago when I checked out.

LR: "Mauricio believes with the quality we have we can play exciting, attacking football, taking the game to our opponents by playing a high-intensity game. He will continue to develop and introduce young players whilst building on the core of experience that we have in the squad. During the recruitment process Mauricio quickly became our first choice and, while he had other options, we are delighted he feels that St Mary’s is the right place for him and we believe he is the right fit for us." Hmm.

Yeah, some raised this Q with the club last week online and they put out some clarifications. When they refer to 'priority' it's just the standard season ticket priority on access to aways. Possibly a bit off misrepresenting it as a benefit of having any of the bolt-on packages, but certainly not a change of approach to how away tickets are sold - thankfully.
-
Given his contract expires in the summer of 2025, you'd hope/think that if we do fail to go up, renegotiating his contract is going to be a priority this off-season.

It was not a serious response, thought that much was obvious. Yep, do agree.
