The football during the two years that Keegan played for Saints was fantastic. I was a student at this time and saw every home game that I could. Another excuse to watch Channon's goal against Liverpool, one of Keegan's last games for Saints. He had four key touches in that goal. I also remember his first game against Man C in August 1980. Seem to remember that he ended up in the Milton End at one point chasing a ball. Another fantastic game. Thanks for the memories. RIP

Cant think of a better wc finals win since 66. The only game that comes close is the wc semi in 90. We lost on pens but played unbelievably well that day

Not sure it was really 4-3-3. More of a midfield diamond with Stiles at the base and Bobby Charlton at the top. And a front two. Point was that Ramsay changed it mid way through the tournament and binned wingers. Mark of a good manager to change the formation to suit the players. Bad managers stick to a back 5 and are inflexible! Eckert is showing some flexibility which is good to see

We all know we should have played a back 4 all season. What we dont know is what interference from SR kept us playing a back 5 for so long. Key thing for me is that Tonda is still learning and is not afraid to make changes. Target has to be to make the playoffs and see where it goes from there.

I think that he is growing into the job. He has shown an ability to learn and to make the necessary changes. There is a much better shape about the team and the players seem to be responding. Still a work in progress though.

We will limp on with Eckhart until the summer. Expect lower mid-table mediocrity and a miserable end to the season. Rinse and repeat in the summer when another random assortment of players arrive and others depart. And another inexperienced manager is appointed. Fulham game in 2012 was at Craven Cottage. Late Rickie Lambert penalty to equalise. I remember it as an enjoyable day out.
