The atmosphere these days is a result of us being awful at home since about 2017. Any positivity was gone within 18 or so seconds on Friday night and it was a case of "here we fucking go again".

It's a really important run of games for RM now, good managers adapt. If we see the same gaps and set up over the next two games then I'm afraid he'll lose the match going support. I'm fine with us wanting to be a possession based team but there needs to be a plan B. We shouldn't be passing for the sake of passing when we're chasing a game. I know we all become wannabe experts but for me it's clear that we need two defensive minded CMs in the lineup to protect the backline and KWP/Manning need to stay in position and stop coming inside whenever we have the ball. 4-2-3-1 would bring a lot of balance to this side in my opinion.

Can't help but think SR have made another poor manager appointment here. He's going to be under so much pressure to perform in the coming games now, which are really tough on paper. We are absolutely shocking off the ball under RM and the better teams in this league have exploited it. I don't understand why we continue to have a massive gap between our midfield and back four, it's allowing teams so much space to attack us. Last night was a really tough watch which tbh has become the norm at St. Mary's since 2017. The rot is too big. I'd like to see us go for a 4-2-3-1. Shea Charles has to play in midfield as our midfield looks weak as fuck when he's not there. We need to stop having KWP and Manning come into the middle when we have the ball, it leaves us so vulnerable on the wings when we lose it.

Martin isn't going to last. Fucking woeful defensively under him. We should have conceded 6 at least this half.

Rule changed a few years back, it's a yellow card if it's deemed that the goalkeeper/defender has made a genuine attempt to play the ball.

He got very lucky on Saturday when he parried a weak free kick straight to a Sunderland player, the Sunderland player missed the ball on the follow up. This has been a common trait during his time here, he rarely pushes the ball away from danger when he makes a save. Got away with one vs Norwich too for their debatable offside goal in the second half.

Going to come in strong here ... A team looking for autos should never lose 5 fucking 0. What a shambles that was. Martins set up from the beginning of the season has asked for that, we've been wide open in transition and if he doesn't sort it then he can do one. Absolutely shambolic performance and a special mention for the skate we have in goal. He is utterly abysmal. He cost us points last season and he will continue to cost us points this year. League One standard goalkeeper. Get rid.

Fair play to the club, I was concerned after we sold Tella but we've ended the window with a really strong squad for the Championship. No excuses for not challenging for autos this year.
