I mean, it was assumed they were talking about the prospective new 'keeper............

A friend of mine suggested, 'Blow - job.'

Considering my wife and children's hair colour...... No.

One of the more frustrating players we have had. Will be remembered for depriving Man Citeh of the quadrouple.
-
Not a lot of starts for Sporting. But seemingly a great loan spell at Estoril. Not sure what judgements we can make on him.
-
Basically: Well. Familiar weaknesses cost us.
-
If only there was a man, we could target up front. Maybe with some physical presence and a goal scoring history. Clearly I must be over simplifying this. Tall order to make any sense of it.

Mixed emotions here. Fundamentally, we played well. In a game where we could have expected a very, very tough time, even with 11 v 11 we looked the better side. But, the negatives of the style of play that have seen us do well cost us a point. Will this prompt us to up our efforts to bring in a new 'keeper? Hopefully. But, as disappointing as this was today, it does leave me feeling more hopeful for the season ahead. And, great debut for Sugs. Hope he is not injured.

Certainly throwing the kitchen sink at it now.

If we cannot get at least a draw from this then we can mark it as a disappointment. All defense for Newcastle.

What a chance that was.

Ugh. Fucking Russball.

Straight off the training ground that. Should have kept it there.

Brereton Diaz you cheeky bastard. Love it.
-
Encouraging so far.

I see that team, how unchanged it is from last season and worry.

Ed Sheeran. Seems a nice bloke, clearly worked hard for his success. Supports and dearly loves his local football club. But, there is just this indefinable thing that irritates me about him.
-
Can counter that Mara had not shown enough to get into the team in the first place there and had come on to play against tiring players.

18 Championship Goals and 4 Premier League Goals says he is.

Who chose them over us. We were negotiating personal terms if memory serves.

Who was the last signing that genuinely got you excited?
Colinjb replied to Midfield_General's topic in The Saints
The most recent that had me genuinely excited. Not long ago. Ben Brereton-Diaz. -
I appreciate how he managed to get to this point without any red flags, whatsoever. No annexing of territories or proxy wars No discrimination of minorities. No abolition or corruption of his own country's government to ensure his long lasting power. No vanity projects to project strength. No cultivation of a cult of personality to allow for domination of the Russian populace. No destruction of the free and open media in Russia. Honestly, we never could have possibly seen this coming based on historic precedent.

Several of us had feelings when he re-signed. Maybe he developed some empathy.

The truth is what they make it.

Cannot disagree with that. It felt so much better with Alex in between the sticks with those tactics rather then waiting for some defensive indecisiveness.
