Oh f**k me! I do miss Saturday 3pm's.....
-
Let's see how we do with Fulham as a 3pm Saturday kick off before we make any judgements.
-
norwaysaint. It's my opinion that no game alone is worth buying a system for but GTA 5 is probably the best game of this console generation. I would use it as an excuse to exercise the now affordable back catalogue on the PS3 if you do get one as there is a world of experiences out there. The Mass Effect Trilogy is my favourite series on the current gen consoles giving hundreds of hours of play and costs about £40 for three games. If you really do have the time to kill and funds, go for it.

You obviously need to up your game Bear.

What's that coming over the hill..? It's Pochettino.... it's Pochettino!!
-
As things stand, I will go out on a limb and say that we do not just have a better midfield, we have a better 'team.' We do not have as much talent in our players/squad though. If Manchester United click they will beat us.
-
I was under the impression it was against the ticket T's and C's to sell them onto someone else.
-
Southampton worse then Coventry, or Nuneaton, or Stoke on Trent, or god forbid Grimsby!? The crap town books are funny in their way but this is just incorrect!
-
Number two in the F365 list of struggling strikers. http://www.football365.com/topical-top-10/8962338/Top-Ten I'm guessing they are working purely on stats then what he actually brings as a forward/holding player.
-
How about a Crap forward line? Curtis (George) Rawlings (Bill) Andrews (Len) Pahars (Marians)
-
Quashie for Q Zoltan Liptak for Z
-
Except of course when he did. They say football is a game of opinions. I couldn't disagree more.

Not prolific yet, no. His goal against Palace was well taken though and he was fingertips away from getting one at Anfield, he is posing a definite threat. After we took the lead Swansea took the game to us as you would expect from them. We attacked with conviction and generated several chances of our own before that and the interplay between Lallana, Lambert and Osvaldo were utterly key to it. Could, indeed perhaps should have been 2 or even three up by that point. Osvaldo's mobility, strength, close control, intelligence and team ethic have been extremely heartening, he is a class act.
-
Following on from 9 players pulling out of the Welsh team for the final qualifiers our Lloyd has been called in. Good luck to him.
-
As I said earlier, thought it was extremely telling that we were massively on the back foot as soon as Osvaldo picked up his knock at the start of the second half. Like Rickie he is more then just a goalscorer, his tracking back and link up play was superb.
-
You would have started with Rodriguez instead of Osvaldo yesterday then?
-
So, if we win at Old Trafford we are odds on to win the premier League!? HA Love that website and towards the end of a season their model is essentially flawless in calculating probabilities but it lacks context so early in the campaign.

Yep, had a great time at the one filmed in Coventry a couple of years ago. They specifically asked me to attend as the only member of the general public in the local area who would happily admit to voting Tory!

Come on Sour Mash, you must know that not all human beings are the same. Some (i'm guessing you are part of the group i'm in) can control that and keep any frustrations within, others will vocalise them, others will go nuts over it, and others will remain in a zen like state of nirvana. We could be getting into quite deep discussions over human nature and conditioning now, suffice to say though we do fundamentally both agree that negatively jeering your own player is counter productive!
-
At the expense of our attacking threat. Thankfully we had done what we needed by that point.
-
If it was that simple I would be in the England team!!! In my opinion he didn't play to his best yesterday anyway, it could have been match rustiness but he shirked a few challenges in the first half and played utterly within himself as far as distribution was concerned. He thankfully grew into things and with JWP providing cover he looked far more in place. People were frustrated with a player who is out of his depth. On another day it could have cost us the game, it didn't. As I said, the reaction to him achieves nothing but the crowd is occupied by 30,000+ emotional human beings who will express frustration with an obvious weakness. Are we the only club that seems to pick on the weak link in the side?
-
It achieves nothing. Yet people react emotionally to things at football matches, we don't just sit there passively and stoically like MLG do we!? If a player is seen to be underwhelming and not pulling his weight they will get a reaction. It's telling that it happened even though we won, he certainly didn't get the same reaction in the Manchester City game last year.

Being a pedant mate, it wasn't booing. It also wasn't from the start, he was given a chance and was the worst player on the pitch. He was a little exposed at times but there were occasions when he looked terrible (bottling going in for challenges) and at best was utterly ordinary, contributing nothing other then a safe pass and simply another body on the field. Anything negative from the fans was born of frustration rather then contempt. I would never condone it yet I can understand it.
-
Nope, if anything he was cheered a little where I sit. Fox wasn't booed either (that I could hear), but the sarcastic cheering was a bit much.

The lesson, if you are going to eat an overpriced crappy burger at football at least be sure to get it from the vendor vans around the ground. Any burger that comes in a bag is asking for trouble! That they will happily take extra money for something they knowingly cannot provide is quite scandalous however! In the grander scheme of things it's what, 20/30p or so between a burger and cheese burger? It is however you dress it up though; theft.
