It's the principle of wanting Saints to wear stripes. That's the core of it. No stipulation in the group of how any protest should be held, just a focal point to increase the profile of that. To make it utterly clear, I am not berating anyone. It is absolutely not my place to criticise how any fan behaves. I just want to see the desire of a majority of the fanbase prevail.

However, if the shirt's sales figure will never be released and the designs are possibly reflecting the whim of someone who believes that the all red approach is a good idea for various 'reasons'.... then a boycott may not have any impact whatsoever. Club insider: "We havn't sold 'x' numbers of shirts..... a shame, but at least for 'y' reason the primarily red design is worthwhile." Other methods of protest may either help to change the mind of the decision maker or help to make the reason for the change apparent.

It's not redundant because it's obviously something that a fair few people (yourself included) want, that I have tried to provide a focal point for some kind of focused effort is my part of trying to protest and has the potential to be far more effective then one lost sale. The desire is obviously there for a return to stripes in a great proportion of the fanbase! The sales figures of this shirt are going to be very interesting, in conversation it has become clear that none of my friends will be purchasing and they are usually all for buying the new kit.

Better to try something then do nothing.

I understand what you are saying Steve. As well as the poll here though I'm also basing that party on the Echo poll that showed approx 60% approval for a striped shirt and about 10% approval for a plain red kit. It's quite eerie yet reassuring how similar the results in both polls were.

It got greedy and couldn't live in harmony with it's white brothers. Bring back the peace. Room for all.

Yep a ratio of 6/1 of those who want stripes and those who want the current kit. Yes MLG, it's only a slight majority. A 'retro kit day' would be a fantastic way of protesting. Those who actually care enough to own the kits and want stripes back will more then likely own a striped shirt already.

It is a majority. The 40% are also very split, with 15% (Saintsweb poll) not caring. Therefore the vast majority that do care want stripes. 60/25 ratio.... over double those of contrary opinion.

Christ MLG, do we have to go through this kind of terrible routine every time? 60% have rejected the current kit (SaintsWeb poll) and wish for a return to stripes (Echo poll). It's really not hard.
