Is anyone actually going to do the pathetic hanky thing?

Not a cats chance in hell!! -
Zambia 1-1 Ethiopia Mayuka played the last ten minutes. Looked rapid and ran through a few times but with little real impact. Ethiopia had their keeper sent off after pole axing a Zambian forward. Good game all in, two excellent goals scored.

Our leading goalscorer. He will still be key, at the very least until the summer.

"The club are £61m in debt." It would therefore take a third CVA for the Trust/HNWI consortium to even stand a chance of continuing the existing club..... Servicing that debt would essentially be impossible for them.
-
Wouldn't be a surprise. He needs to prove himself to the players as much as he needs to learn the squad. What better way then to escape the current weather conditions and take the squad to a more familiar environment for him.

I'm now free to set off whenever thanks to an impromptu day off. Any hints or suggestion of a pitch inspection? I don't want a wasted journey.

Get out.......

What are the road conditions like?

Utterly inspired!! Someone at the BBC must have seen that coming....

Pochettino - what can we learn from this TV caricature

Bizarre! Spanish football satire show? -
I think you are reflecting how a fair few of us are feeling. Don't worry about it.
-
Oh, far too much. I wouldn't even want to time it!
-
Yeah, another person who feels they can speak on behalf of the fans thanks to some kind of affiliation to a group that no-one knows about. Just what we all need.
-
I won't be. Also, it's seen as a sarcastic measure. It's real and original purpose was to reflect a positive reaction to events. Everything about this idea is just terrible.
-
Oh, it is one of the strangest clumsiest moves in the history of the English top flight. Yet as I calm down over it the more I can see positives in what has happened, either way, getting off topic for the thread.

Better to bring a new man in while reinforcements can be made then leave him with someone else's team to work with on February 1st. There is twisted logic to this move.
-
No. They do not. Not many people have the money to maximise the purchase either. My point stands, for them to make money out of Saints, all things considered (infrastructure work, transfer fees, wages etc) will be a massive task and highly unlikely. And the key point is that we will never know for sure why Markus chose us.... We can all speculate and have opinion but ultimately they mean nothing. He is not around to tell us straight.
-
He didn't look like a businessman at the JPT final. That wasn't a poker face he was wearing. I am inclined to believe this train of thought.
-
This does however fly in the face of the usual logic in football. "The only way to make a small fortune in football is to start with a large one." With the plans that have been stated/proposed, stadium refurbishment, european football, rebuild training facilites etc, the chances of doing all that while turning a profit or getting something worth more afterwards in relation to the funds put in would be extremely improbable. Yes, it is more then possible that Markus Liebherr's intent was purely financially driven... but equally it could have been a final hurrah from a dying billionaire. We will never know for sure.

It's only a bargain if there is a buyer.
-
I would expect Manchester City fans to be on the whole reasonably happy that they are owned by the state of Abu Dhabi.
-
Which leaves the question. If Nicola Cortese did resign as a point of honour, as a few fans seem to want at the moment, and the support of Markus Liebherr's estate also went along with him, would we be happy?
