Nope, 1st March 2011, Tuesday. Jon Macken scored the only goal in a 1-0 loss.
It was a Saturday game in Dec 09, finished 3-1. Murty played that afternoon, travelled down after my work Xmas party.
Yep, the away end is barely half full. Pains me to see David Connolly turning out for that outfit. They can't even afford glue to stick the league patches on his shirt.
Random twitterings. Now it feels like a transfer window!!
10 million euros though. Times certainly change..... and the stakes certainly raise accordingly!!
Almost certainly repeating something mentioned in the thread (can't be bothered to go back through) but Guly's work getting back and supporting his full back has been better then Adam's for me. That has helped us remain solid. Guly has impressed me since coming into the side (can't blame him for the own goal v Arsenal, he had to try and divert the ball, there was a man running in behind him who had every chance of tapping the cross in.)
For me, it's as much about what the goal means as the technical ability that has made it happen.
So, for the hit, what it meant and for the emotion involved there can only be one goal that is perfect for me: Matt Le Tissier v Arsenal, May 2001.
Next week I think.
Was frustrated that I couldn't buy tickets at the TO before the Arsenal game. Thank heavens for a retired Dad who is happy to run a few errands!!
