That was under Brian Gunn. The manager who relegated them. They replaced him with the manager of the opposing team who crushed them that day, Colchester and never looked back. Poor management can ruin even a good team, with Lambert at the helm they never looked back. The Norwich team that day included Holt and Hoolahan. Players now competing and impressing at Premier League level.

This is true, but their relegation to League 1 was a surprise, ours was deserved. They had a better and established base to build up from in the first place, we had to rebuild completely. Norwich's achievements have been outstanding and utterly unprecedented. If we could in any way emulate them, even considering the resources we have had to put into our side to facilitate it would be equally impressive. We would be only the second side in the modern era to survive after back to back promotions, simply because it's been done already shouldn't lessen the feat should it come to pass.

Back on topic. Any manager that can take a team from the third tier to mid-table in the premier league in consecutive seasons deserves full credit. If Nigel Adkins can achieve that I would be extremely impressed and grateful. If it was simply a case of money then Leicester and QPR would be gunning for European qualification, to make the most of the opportunity is the key, the resources at your disposal simply provide the chance.

There would quite clearly be reason. Staggering how vile some people can be.

It makes you wonder. What role are the nutjobs to play if the very Skates we wish to educate are now 'getting it?'

Football will be worth whatever the consumer is willing to pay. Not just the ticket, but the travel costs, the ancillary costs, everything. The problem is it cannot be quantified by just the game itself, unlike other forms of entertainment there is a large amount of personal identification and emotion that happens with football matches. Compare it to a film, where a two hour piece of entertainment costs about 8 pounds or so, football is a rip off. Yet I pay the season ticket costs gladly and just hope the club don't take the p*ss. I feel it is too expensive right now, but then that's how I feel about many non-league grounds too. (£12 quid to get into Winchester City, really?) £20 quid a game would feel 'fair' to me, but that is something I doubt we'll ever see.

My thoughts to his family at this time. Terrible.

By jove I think she's got it.

Knocking 7 minutes out of a 2 mile run is a stunning effort, brilliantly done mate, do not undersell what you have just achieved. If you are feeling destroyed, that's a good thing.... it means you have stretched yourself. Your body will now be building itself up to cope better next time. Keep on it, keep putting the miles into your legs and they will be able to cope better. Try to do one fast run a week (Of two miles or so) and a two distance runs (3 - 4 miles). You will very quickly find your longer distances becoming quicker as your natural comfort zone gets faster. Egg - I'm not part of a running club, I do all of my training off my own back. Window Cleaner - Yep, downhill. Mdina to Sliema Harbour front. As my training route features a little gradient in it's circuit I'm hoping that the downhill will work in my favour, no aimed time though, survival will be it's own reward for me. Estimated 2hr 15min on the application form though.

Joy to the world, the Skates are done......

After being given a kettlebell by a friend who was having a clear-out (his home gym is being converted into a nursery...) this thread came back into the memory. It's only an 8kg bell, but surely ok for a beginner like me, tried the routine on the youtube video, completed it (didn't time it, just wanted to see what level i'm starting from...) and yes, quite tricky! The Burpees are the worst bit, more then familiar with them thanks to the BMF classes i'm still doing, but even then it's 12 at a time at most. After those the clean/press felt like a holiday, the mountain climbers a breeze. The only concern I had was with the snatches. My arm felt really unsteady at the top of the movement, otherwise, ok. It's a start.

The formatting screwed up. Give me a minute.

I see that's been edited, must have thought twice about the initial submission!

Relax mate, we all have our quirks on the weekend. They used to do ladies 'fit' but I don't think the practice has been revived.

Stranger things could happen, but I doubt he would join us over his more obvious family connections and a possibility of staying in London.

Other then having a game in hand, looking at the fixtures, what do we reckon? Looking at the fixtures below, Sunderland will probably be put into their place at Old Trafford, Villa are on something of an upturn currently but so are Liverpool, put Suarez back into contention though and that should see them off. Could see QPR getting a first win v Fulham and Reading. Norwich and Wigan will be tricky to call too. Wouldn't be surprised to be back in the bottom three by the end of play, but then that keeps the tension going, it wouldn't be Saints without a little tension. Saturday Newcastle v Man City Liverpool v Villa Man Utd v Sunderland Norwich v Wigan QPR v Fulham Stoke v Everton Sunday Tottenham v Swansea West Brom v West Ham Monday Reading v Arsenal

Oh, excuse me, I thought this was a public forum. As a man of your conviction i'm sure you wouldn't shirk from such a challenge.

You should make a bet with him. If Frank Lampard joins us he will have to buy you a designer shirt and matching shoes of your choice.

Any ideas? It feels like the back of my mouth is under seige. I've already tried: Salt directly applied. Burns like a b*tch, usually works but this is a large one (3/4 the size of my index finger nail) and it seems to shake it off. Alcohol, well; Whiskey. Numbs it, but then it comes back with a vengeance. I need more ideas, I want this little motherf*cker gone. It's been 4 days now and it will not relent.

Oh to dream an impossible dream.
-
No, just no. He'll join Uncle 'Arry at QPR for a final pay day.

With that kind of original thinking you must be some sort of drugged up hippy, right? No way a football club can be run like that, no way man!!!
