  1. Logically, you are of course right. They should be treated the same and trusted on their own potentially dubious merits. Human beings on the other hand are not logical.... we are emotional creatures and will respond to positivity/negativity in different ways. Only the negativity will have an all in detrimental effect though. Negative thoughts are like a disease, they manifest, spread, and create damage in communities and groups, be it the players, Saintsweb or your mates in the local. It is far more critical that they are disprovable then anything positive.
  2. In a manner of speaking, he is saying that anything which can have a detrimental effect would need to be traceable/quantifiable due to the damaging effect it would have. Positivity breeds positivity, regardless of how b*llsh*t it may be. Negativity likewise will breed negativity.... and that needs to be snuffed out.
  3. Mentioned in one of the Mirror articles. Can't remember which one, i'm sure someone will be sharp enough to find it.
  4. Or at the very least young prospects that could come through and overtake his preferred man once father time caught up with him.
  5. 12 days of the window left. This committee better click quickly....
  6. Personally i'm looking forward to seeing him play in Zambian colours over the next week or two.
  7. We did. Gazzaniga and Cropper. We certainly needed better back-up..... look, we're going around in circles now.
  8. It would explain why we stayed with Kelvin between the sticks at the start of the year. There have been reports of Nicola Cortese giving speeches along the lines of 'Not everyone in the room is premier league standard.' Our goalkeeper, a loyal servant though he is, had already been found more then wanting at this level before at Sunderland. I would understand Nigel's loyalty to the man, but a replacement was needed before a ball was kicked in anger.
  9. Or being ignored.... And therefore not functioning as intended.
  10. It seems that it wasn't functioning as intended.
  11. According to that article... Nigel. And as for committee... taking the article on face it looks to have been a key point of friction.
  12. I would expect Cortese had seen Tommy Forecast train....
  13. He would excel there.
  14. Yep. It was Adkins' getting it wrong on that occasion. And seeing as our only backup for Davis was Tommy Forecast, Gazzaniga's signing was a no-brainer.
  15. Netherlands U21. Plays for Anderlecht. His name is also spelt Nuytinck not Nuytick... silly mirror.
  16. Bram Nuytinck Finally our mystery desired centre back from the summer has a name. Interesting that it claims our lack of recruitment between the sticks was down to Adkins.
  17. I wouldn't want to be 'quick' right now.
  18. Well, it can only get better from here.
  19. Probably a reflection of the poor form Espanyol suffered before Pochettino was sacked. Rather then use their academy he probably tried to get other reinforcements in.
  20. Or better yet, Blayney's v Shearer.
  21. The mirror explicitly saying 'the deal is likely to go through before the end of the window.' Not much of a grey area there, they are pretty confident.
  22. On the bright side, they are still banging on about Davide Astori.
  23. It's always time for the nuns....
