The entirely speculative 'replacements for Puncheon' thread

And we sold to the North London yobbos, never say never. -
So, who could we have? I'll start with Martyn Woolford of Scunny.

Great little cars, I personally love them. Check the usual things, rust in the wheel arches etc. As it's the TF it will not have that daft hydro-elastic suspension that the car initially shared with the Rover Metro/100 even though it is the same basic undertray. Just be sure it's mechanically sound and it'll be great!

I shared those thoughts, also it struck me as almost too ideal when I saw his biography in a recent program. He stated that the best moment of his career was 'Joining Southampton,' surely too good to be true? I was hoping that it was just my cynicism at play.

Hope this isn't true, know he may be something of a scapegoat but he obviously has ability.... he is just the kind of player you know would score against you on return. Perhaps Adkin's has had enough of his seemingly poor attitude.

Rowan Vine was a product of the Skate's youth system wasn't he? That could be the link. Would more then do a job for us, but there is that slight smell of fish present.

Only bought a few players since winning league 1. After Do Prado left in January of that season I snaped up AMC Iago Aspas from Celta Vigo for £140K, Ousmane Dabo and Jay Demerit where also key transfers at the start of the game, on a frees after thier release from Lazio and Watford respectively. They have been nothing short of sensational. My key purchases in the off season after promotion are: GK: Manolo Reina from Levante, £130K DL: Salaheddine Sbai from Nimes, £110K DR: Marcin Waselewski, Free AMC/F: Eidur Gudjohnson, Free DC/DM: David Edgar from Burnley, £150K I have also loaned John Bostock and Nile Ranger to add more depth/options. My current tactic is a 4-2-3-1 and lines up like so. ---------------------- Gudjohnson ------------------------ Lallana ----------------- Aspas ------ Chamberlain/Puncheon ------------- Schneiderlin ------- Dabo -------------------- ----------------------------------------------------------- Sbai/Harding -- Fonte/Edgar ----- DeMerit ------- Wasilewski ------------------------ Reina ---------------------------- Currently, 18 games played and I am in 2nd in the Championship, 1 point ahead of a gaggle of clubs and 5 points adrift of an extremely in form Norwich. I have also retrained Rickie to be a fully fledged AMC, he is excellent playing in Aspa's role if required. In January I am looking for back up on the left side, but I have only 300K to spend. Lallana is the only player not performing consistently but I may hope I can win promotion regardless. As a side note: I LOVE how the shirts revert to Stripes from the second season. Great attention to detail.

I've paid for it, so I hope it's not a complete missmatch. Nontheless, I wish to see Haye knock Harrison out comprehensively.

Six words I hate: 'Completely against the run of play.' F**k

Oh my days. That headline has made me laugh so hard. You can only feel pity for that journalist... Really.

Cheers mate. Is it just me being thick or is the OS hopeless for 'ticket news' now?

Well, they make addictive reading. -
I take it tickets are on sale? Dad and I hope to do this one, basing ourselves at the Grandparents in Wetherby.

It was as much the desire to try the furthest away trip as much as anything! But yeah, was a bit gruelling. Plymouth is the furthest for me now though...... As you said Dune, complete respect for all those doing the 10 hour round trip from Southampton.

Is a bit far! 3.5 hours there, 3 back for me last year. And no, on the return I didn't 'hang about.'
-
Was at that one last year. We took about 2 thousand. The game that finally nailed the lesson in for me. NEVER LEAVE EARLY!!!!

Actually, it's just come to me. If you are ever tempted to buy those jars of Pickled cod/herring whatever in the Ikea food aisle, seriously don't bother.

Not really been one for strange foods, but the 'Fenek' (Grilled or Fried Rabbit) I had in Malta this year had to have been the worst example of a 'meat' dish i've ever tried. I've seen more meat on an anorexic then there was on those poor bunnies that lost their lives in the name of a 'meal.'

If they where guilty then we have every right to want them brought to account. People who search out trouble deserve no sympathy whatsoever. They have been proven innocent though, and as such there is no longer an axe to grind.
