His long term injury was utterly crucial in our relegation and ensuing downturn. His determination to get back and playing for us is something I will always admire. He had the potential to be an all time club legend, in the end it's a case of what might have been.

His potential (in terms of ability and financial value) matters not right now. If all goes f*ck up over the next few days his potential value and ability could mean nothing, right now his cash value can ensure we have a club to support next season..... THAT is what matters right now.
