Definition of quality I guess is down to opinion, but factually Onuacho scored more goals in the Premier league than any of our other forwards, so what does it say about them? I'd say Sulemana and Bednarek moving to Atalanta and Porto shows they have qualities deemed attractive to clubs at a higher level than us and those clubs were prepared to pay reasonable transfer fees for them, as will Dibling and Fernandes. The lack of interest in the rest of our squad is a good indication of how poor most of them are, my point being I don't see how others are now predicting them to get automatic promotion

I'm still struggling to get onboard with the opinion that we have a strong squad even after losing our 'best' players. Remember we've already lost key first team players RAMSDALE, WALKER-PETERS (both contenders for player of the season) and our league top scorer ONUACHO. We have also cashed in on KAMALDEEN SULEMANA and BEDNAREK to champions league Atalanta & Porto , if we then lose Dibling and Fernandes that really is taking one of the worst top flight squads of all time, removing any quality that was in it, what remains hardly fills me with confidence.

He's done a great job at Wrexham really, three successive promotions , I remember hearing him talk before about his days at Saints as part of the youth set up , around the time Benali, Shearer, Le Tiss were there so he does have Saints connections

Unfortunately with the change of stadium configuration a "sell out" at St Mary’s is usually just under 31k Club released a few more tickets today in blocks 9 and 3 if anyone still after a ticket

I liked Paul Trollope, proper football man, clearly respects the club and wants us to make it as hostile as possible when we play the Skates so he gets the thumbs up from me

Feels so long ago I can hardly remember it, actually incredible how bad that is and considered most of our starting XI was at the club last year entirely possible that losing mentality is still ingrained, would be a real boost for the whole club to get a win again

I heard he missed going down to Mayflower park and watching the cruise ships come and go

When did we last win a competitive game of football? Can anyone remember what it feels like? Especially in front of a home St Mary’s crowd

Can't wait to see St Mary’s rocking to this again

Any news on if the Hollywood boys will be there in the directors box? We'll need to pull out our own A listers , Rishi Sunak? Is Pinder still a Saints fan after the Martin sacking?

It does sound like this is selling quite slowly, high prices and Sunday midday ko with no trains going into Central will be putting some off as well. They are changing criteria from tomorrow https://www.southamptonfc.com/en/news/article/portsmouth-h-ticket-update

Jeez Grandad we're going to keep going round in circles on this one aren't we

Genuinely did you go regularly in the last championship season? Baz was not fine then, if we persist with him it just highlights the complacency within the club

Can someone please ask if we'll continue with huge tifo banner over Northam wall before games and if the same goal celebration music will be played when we score?

Obviously could get some loans and free agents but as things stand they must be likely for a record low points tally? Tiny squad with players who aren't being paid , unless takeover happens soon Feel for their fans, stupidly high ticket prices as well

The games I have seen pre-season we've generally looked slow getting the ball forward and attacking with real purpose so I wouldn't be entirely surprised with a 0-0

Get yourself down the bookies and double it with Stephens Red card , possibly for an altercation with James McClean, let's show them we mean business early on

Would a Dibling sale count as 100% profit for PSR as a *homegrown* player or does his spell at Chelsea change that?

I noticed Watford away sold out to season ticket holders with 6 away games I think, Quite decent to have sell outs already for Wrexham Northampton Ipswich Watford Plenty left still for Stoke at home

Ok let's look at it this way Our 'talented' squad was so far out of its depth last season we broke all sorts of records and celebrated getting to twelve points. We were a laughing stock. That squad is now losing what little actual talent it had in departures, some of the better players in Ramsdale, KWP have already left. I applaud your confidence , it's nice to see, but I can't share it at the moment. I especially think we'll struggle to match the intensity of some lesser championship sides with our current side.

Right back clearly is a position we are weaker now than last championship season, difference is it is a position that can be carried a bit as mistakes won't necessarily be as detrimental as a goalkeeper error. Bree is steady I think , Suga has been a disappointment in his Premier league performances, if they've taught him how to defend let's see if he can improve now and lay off the basketball for a bit

I hate these arrogant statements that imply we're so much better than others , were you all watching last season where the club embarrassed themselves in front of the nation being so utterly devoid of top flight quality and lack of cohesive team unit? And yes we have players who got us promotion previously, but some of those arguably have got worse like Armstrong and Fraser so not equivalent to 23/24 season

Agree, Leicester seem to be alright for a 'crisis' club in financial difficulty? Good convincing win for them vs Fiorentina I saw an interview with Birminghams manager when questioned on promotion chances he says will be hard to compete with the likes of Ipswich and Leicester, didn't mention us!
