Football Special

Other clubs need experienced managers as their directors are clueless so need someone who knows the game to run the club The clever thing about Saints is we have all the football knowledge we need already within the ownership of Sports Republic so Rasmus can take on young apprentices and mentor them with his coaching badge qualifications, it's a wonderful project

New manager bounce well and truly past them by 😆 Ramsay has had two games , both at home, two defeats and EIGHT goals conceded

Going to be a close relegation battle I think

Norwich are definitely going to finish above us that's for sure , good management change for them

I don't think we got any money for Ballard did we?

There was no doubt in my mind at the Hull game that he wasn't playing at full effort, clearly had enough of the club whether it's his team mates, managers, non-existent coaching staff, fans, whatever if we've received a bid I can see him going

Anyone watch Tonda's press conference? What wisdom did he share with us today?

I still don't understand why we didn't get Rohl when he was available, not a huge amount of experience but had done enough with Sheffield Wednesday to be a worthy candidate

I know the 'official' attendance is tickets sold but you can be sure there will be at least a couple of thousand less actually there. Not many coming from Sheffield either, not surprisingly

Interesting perspective, is your approach to go to the match and act like everything is ok? Cheer the team , accept the defeats? Past generations of my family going back to pre-war used to say a true fan sticks with their team through thick and thin, they need you most when they are struggling, but it feels different in this era.

Some hilarious stuff there, but I really think this is the main problem for us. Ankerson truly believes this and sees himself as an elite individual in the sport. Solak clearly allows him to have huge influence across Sports Republic and I think this has been a barrier to the club recruiting leaders who may have a different view to the Dane. Would be interesting to know if Blackmore or Alfie House has ever requested an interview with him.

I agree. I think it's their arrogance making the same mistakes time and time again that has lost them the support of the fans, getting decisions wrong so often and so badly it's sometimes hard to believe they're not doing it on purpose

Looks like this thread has had over 650 views , I think 'Yorkshire Saint' might actually be a club employee responsible for selling Christmas parties. Raised awareness and got people talking about it. Very clever, very clever indeed

Is that for a particular game? Block 20? I've seen it before where they've taken seats off sale towards the back which are not in view of tv cameras to encourage people to buy further down making it look like fewer empty seats on TV

Can you imagine Tonda giving a reply like this, miss those days , Rasmus needs to look the man in the glass in the eye

Our best chance of seeing JWP will be on Sunday as the buses roll into Fratton he'll be with his Dad and the rest of the 657 crew welcoming committee

I'd say that abysmal spell at Blackburn was matched by the spell at Middlesbrough where we completely fell apart gifting them 4 goals , it's been a bloody awful season hasn't it

Yep plus when Still was sacked Ankerson was at next couple of games, Alfie has confirmed RASMUS is football advisor for Solak

Some viewpoints from the opposition https://www.s24su.com/forum/threads/southampton-is-a-must-win.106146/

The sad thing is mate there are plenty of football nerds that will read that and nod in agreement, ignoring the evidence of their eyes watching the actual match where we were rubbish

This is correct, needed him gone to create the position for Tactical Tonda

It would make a fantastic fly on the wall documentary, "Carry On Football"

We're definitely damaging a lot of careers, I know last season Simon Rusk was happy as u21 coach for example and would probably still be there now if he hadn't been pushed into first team caretaker role then moved on , such a shambles and makes a poor environment behind the scenes

I understand his role is to coordinate gardening leave for the increasing number of staff trying to leave

You have no idea! Show some respect! We are building a team of some of footballs greatest mathematical minds in Spors broom cupboard, it will make the Enigma code look like basic primary school maths once it is finished , great longterm vision from the club. It's also just coincidence we do all our recruitment from Germany where Spors just happens to live
