That's not correct - the results had already deteriorate before Stephens came back In . Statistically we got more points with Stephens in the team that season than when he was not in the team

There was a bunch of guys taking any chance they could to hurl obscenities at Jack Stephens whenever he was warming up , really goading him with vile abuse . One of them called ‘“Lawrence” standing by the railings calling him a c**t and trying to get him to come over . Jack realised the bloke was a pr**k and moved away. Luckily 10 minutes from the end they all pissed off down to the pub. whatever you think of him as a player is this really necessary - made my enjoyment of the game even worse than it was .

The only thing I saw Quarshie do was having a go at the Linesman and Ref after the 1st goal for not giving offside when it was actually him playing Whittaker inside

Thanks so much for posting this - it’s helped me so much with a personal quest I’ve been on . My Father advertised his business at the Dell in the 1960’s and I’ve been searching for an image of the advertising board and now I’ve found it on this video! An important part of my family history ! now I know the location and season my aim is to find a still and get it blown up - hopefully the club historian will help me find one .
