I don't think it's lazy to expect the club to do some kind of gesture to fans who paid out for Middlesborough home/ away . At the end of the day it was the clubs fault that this happened and the fans have had a miserable end to the season. To refund everyone's ticket costs for these would cost around £1M (and they could do it as a club shop credit or something which would halve the cost) which is fuck all considering they were prepared to sit there ad pay McCarthy £2M/£3M per year (just as an example)
I think it's poor from the club - they should have foreseen this possibility and triggered the extension , I guess with everything else going on they forgot - but whoever is in charge of contracts should have spotted the risk
I've made a booking for a week in July, but got an awful feeling something will crop up work wise 4 days before which will sadly prevent me from going !
Imagine the damages and costs if we got an interim injunction and then our case failed would run into tens of millions so I find these not at all likely - its too late now !
How independent is this though ? There must be some off the record discussions about what the EFL want out of this and also possibly some element of plea bargaining from Saints hence Gibson so wound up that he can’t be there
