  1. If we got £8m for Onuachu and £17m for Sulemana after these last few years, then as much as I hate to say it but Rasmus should get freedom of the city. Absolutely ludicrous business to receive that. (Yes it’s a loos on what we paid but they’ve been terrible acquisitions). 🤣 I don’t think they’ll be many more outgoings for a few more weeks, unless it’s your generic loan sales to Goztepe etc. I can see Juan and Matsuki heading back out there.
  2. In MLG’s eyes Sport Republic have done no wrong and can do no wrong. 😂 Some of the “healthy debates” I’ve seen on social media have been very amusing. Back on topic, as said before Dragan Solak has said all the right things that will get us onside and excited, it’s generic PR. There isn’t really anything gospel in what he said, it’s a case of trust. Given he’s resumed control and moved people around and made the right people accountable in the right place you could say he’s learned from failings. The bit I would er caution to is comments about large scale investment or expansion. Equally it’s very easy for him to say”I don’t like to say things because I’m superstitious” if you’ve got no real plan or intentions. It’s swings and roundabouts, I’m more encouraged, but certainly won’t be shelling out on anything until there’s some form of evidence on improvement on or off the field. I’m not made of money. 😂
  3. Reads well, but it’s all talk until anything comes to fruition. Regarding the stadium we’ve heard it all before, they’ll be some on here who will lap it up, and they’ll be some who are more realistic about how quickly this stuff takes. This isn’t an overnight thing. Reading the article he comes across well but one step at a time. Manager early - tick Hes now said about potential signings - pressure on to get them right Rest of the transfer window - pending
  4. Some still think he’s the messiah 🤣
  5. Leicester don’t have enough to shift Ruud van Nistelrooy let alone get someone else in too.
  6. I think this seasons kit is going to look horrific. Take out the nostalgia for a second, every mock up that we’ve seen so far has been pretty dire.
  7. Adam Armstrong would be worth keeping, his Championship record speaks for itself, he’s never going to be good enough for the Premier League, he signed a new contract, and to be sold would make another EFL team a promotion rival. I agree though we need a striker who is bulky, young-ish and has experience at a higher footballing level. Even Ferguson (Brighton) would be my choice, even if it were a loan. He certainly fits the mould of someone young that needs a bit of developing, a Will Still type signing.
  8. Let’s see where we are come September 1st. I have more confidence in Dragan Solak, seemingly the adult has entered the room and taken away what was Rasmus’ little toy that he didn’t understand or know how to use.
  9. I knew someone within the club for a short while that was a wealth of knowledge, always fascinating to know what rumours were happening. Not had anything for a while now, think they moved on pre-relegation two years ago. That said I did know someone who mentioned about Aaron Ramsdale being done nearly a month earlier than announced and that it was simply a case of when rather than if. 😅 Not heard anything this summer, in some ways I’m honestly not bothered. Transfers are so overhyped now, a bit like the Premier League as a whole, boredline showbiz than anything else.
  10. Sky do it every season. For the last ten years it’s been the same rubbish, the endless dull debate about Arsenal being ever so close but not quite, the title being between Liverpool and Man City, Chelsea overspending and not gaining much out of it, Man United spending money and the fact that “this is their season” despite it never being, Spurs could be the dark horse etc etc etc. It’s the same rubbish every season. It caters to fans of the top six, but Jesus Christ are fans of those clubs not bored of the same debate over and over again?
  11. Beggars can’t be choosers; and quite frankly as much as we aren’t in a facial position to get rid of him on the cheap, why waste everyone’s time when he isn’t wanted and takes up a vast amount of wages? Get rid now, take this down as a lesson, and a huge loss - one that we’re already aware of - and move on.
  12. Mugs. 😂 The club don’t deserve a penny after last season. If anything they should be paying fans to go after that shambles. Also on a side note, petition to have season ticket price amended on a player-performance related basis? - Fan pays full price for season ticket - If the team performs then the fan pays no more and is rewarded for good football - If the team doesn’t the fans ticket price is reimbursed, partially refunded and the difference comes out of the players wages. Might make them turn up. 😂
  13. I suppose it depends who is making the signings, the manager or the transfer committee team. Cant see anything going wrong if it’s the latter in charge still, see Orsic, Onuachu, Brereton-Diaz and Sulemana as recent examples. 🤣
  14. It looks beyond cheap. Idea and concept 9/10, execution from early images is horrific.
  15. I agree they’re on the younger side, but they certainly aren’t players that we haven’t heard of, and also players that already have an array of footballing experience for this league or higher. They're the kind of players rivals will be looking at.
  16. Gordon Strachan at Paultons Park Jeff Sterling at Paultons Park (different occasion) Franny Benali, Jack Stephens, Ross Stewart, James Ward-Prowse, Dean Hammond, Steve Clarridge (in full chav tracksuit), Flynn Downes, Russell Martin, James Beattie, Sekou Mara, Adam Armstrong and Steven Davis all inside my place of work at various points. The latter still lives locally! Matt Le Tiss I’ve met a couple of times Harry Redknapp (when he was manager) Nigel Adkins - shook has hand and had a chat pre-Fulham match (game finished 2-2) Sat next to Peter Rodrigues in a cup tie about fifteen years ago, no clue who he was, but my Dad was very excited
  17. Apologies if I posted this before but I wouldn’t mind seeing some players like this: GK: Carl Rushworth - after first team football away from Brighton Viktor Johansson - can do way better than Stoke, pretty sure he’s one POTS for the last two seasons DEF: Max Aarons - seemingly surplus to requirements at Bournemouth Ashley Phillips - young CB, good season on loan at Stoke from Spurs Andre Garcia - young promising left back at Reading Harrison Burrows - never gonna happen but a good solid full back nonetheless MID: Lennon Miller - we’ve been linked many times before, lots of promise Jesuren Rak-Sakyi - tricky winger with previous Championship loan spells, rumoured to have been interested previously ATT: Evan Ferguson - not currently wanted at Brighton, lots of promise, likely to be a loan Marc Guiu - maybe a cheeky loan I’d like to see us go after players that will be good Championship signings. I can’t imagine many have heard of Quarshie until we signed him or that American lad playing in Germany until the other day. I think the fanbase needs to be instilled with confidence rather than trying to be clever with untried teenagers.
  18. Absolutely calling bollocks on some of these ages listed
  19. People do take a lot of stuff on the internet as fact don’t they
  20. That’s quite funny
  21. The Saints Centre Twitter account was called out last year for completely making shit up by a couple of journos. Whoever runs the account deactivated it briefly last summer after a ton of abuse. If you’re believing anything on that you must be incredibly gullible. 🤣
  22. I mean I offered a fiver for my services, and only wanted payment after promotion so I guess that’s just as factual and realistic as the above. 😅
  23. A bit like Max Alleyne to Man City a few years ago then. Ive never actually hear of this kid going to Man United, nor do I imagine many have on here. Seen a few on social media give it the old “disgraceful by the club”, I’m pretty confident they’d never heard of him either. People forget he is 15/16 years old, there’s on a very select few that go on to make it higher up after signing for bigger teams at a young age. Some never fulfill their potential. See Jimmy-Jay Morgan who wanted £10K supposedly at the age of 17 to stay at Saints and is now plying his trade in constant loans in League 2. 😂
  24. I think it depends what route we go down. We could go down the route of buying established Championship or bit-part Premier League players. Or we could be going after really obscure foreign players.
  25. In what way shape or form are we not interested in them? Unless you’re on the committee how can anyone on this forum possibly know which players were looking at? I could tweet in if you like, doesn’t make it any more legit though 😂
