The two games i saw whilstback home weren't much cop - Orient and Notts Co - although of course the Marcus tribute/memory and chants made the afternoon unique and Puncheon nearly smashing the Chapel End TV Screen with one of the worst shots ever (even by his standards!!). Also the baiting of the RoboCops with the TV cameras in our faces - you can stick your efing camera up your arse etc was funny. But for me most games have been shared with whispering Dave Merrington and the best of all his comments was against some muggy little team, possibly Yeovil, who delivered the worst training ground perfected free kick delivery ever - prompting DM to burst out with "well they have just made an almighty cock up with that - his co tater was left speechless and then tried carrying on commentating virtually in tears - classic. The next week a chastised DM apologised for saying 'cock up' on the radio as Mrs DM had given him a telling off for saying it - but in his apology he actually said 'cock up'twice more - what a man!! See what you guys are missing out on!!

.... and the shyte way clubs have resorted to restricting the amount of tickets given to us for away games. Orient, Exeter, Yeovil, now Plymouth and Brentford have all made the games all ticket yet failed to use up large sections of their own allocation. I'm sure there have bben others as well. I won't even bother mentioning the paltry allocation on offer from Shyteton - but it is the same for everybody who goes there I guess. Bompey gave us a smaller allocation than to other clubs - but there again that was their Cup Final LOL!!! Small teams getting jealous of us now we are about to abandon ship for better things!! Get me out of this feckin league NOW!!

Thanks for all your comments - much appreciated. We had a look around Loughborough Campus in August, unfortunately the Art block was being redecorated!! Certainly had a nice studenty feel about the place, (and plenty of eye candy for the girls!!) After she had had her interviews she said she preffered Trent - just the feel of looking around the Art dept and the general feel of the place and staff. I'd have thought that she'd prefer the campus style of life at Loughborough, but she has survived a year of living in town digs in Carlisle so she should be okay with either!! So it's looking like Trent. Half hoping Forest don't get promoted now I've got somewhere to crash if we play them whenever I''m back home!! (Assuming we won't be playing Notts County next year of course!!!)

Admit to be underwhelmed at his appointment at the time - but fair play to him he has got the team winning points and his use of subs er sorry impact players has been good on the whole (although early doors they weren't so hot I seem to remember) The use of the diamond still frustrates me, although at least we now seem to have a few options of different tactics to change to i during a match. AP only ever seem to have a Plan A. As alluded to in the thread - will he have the overall pulling power to attract big name players to the club if/when we are in The Championship? Will established players fall for being on the bus, being in the building and everything being as simple as that? Hopefully he will have the advantage of attracting players to a Championship club instead of a League 1 Club - something AP managed very well indeed. He seems to have a good relationship with Cortese, who seems to have taken very much a back seat of late and let the manager and team be the centre of attention. I was upset when AP left, stability hasn't been a byword for Southampton FC for a very long time and we seemed to be making good progress - fortunately the wheels didn't come off the bus and we are still heading in the right direction with Nige. Good luck Nige - we're on the march with Nigel's army.

great skill / discipline shown by both players, and credit to backroom staff - no signal given as to where it was going to go - Ricky said on SaintsPlayer it was only the last moment decision to curl it rather than shoot - but obviously the training sessions got it so perfected that it was choreographed to perfection without any obvious indications as to what was going to happen. Also Jose's run took him into an area where any palm outs from a direct shot might well have fallen. Ricky's rep as a goal scorer from free kicks in that position would have ben foremost in the defenders/keepers mind - well done all round for being focused.

Plus breaking thru part of the newly erected fencing!! Maybe they came equipped with wire cutters for the great escape from Div 2 (old money)!!

Thanks for the link much appreciated. As you say Loughborough would appear to win hands down - but it is the sub divisions in Art & Design and Fine Art which are the cruncher. Interestingly from those stats Notts Trent show the student satisfaction %'s higher than many of the uni's above it in the rankings. In fact on the student ratings alone Notts Trent would be just about in the top 10 not too far behind Loughborough. As someone else mentioned, course content will be a major factor in th final decision.

Don't think anybody doubts the joys of social life in Nottingham - especially males if the old stats of 1 in 5 students are females stories are true!! And Nottingham is easily accessible from Loughborough so no ned to miss out on that front. I think she'd enjoy that more than "campus life"

Unconditional Offer - didn't seem much difference in fees on first perusal - but will look into projected fees if info avbl. Intakes this Sept will not be charged at the increased rates as far as i can tell. Fingers crossed!!

THIS Player of The Season - not just the games he has been fit for - (Adam would win hands down on that one) - but over the season and now with the timing of his 2 goals this week (plus all the others) ..... Jose ... he's the man. But it is great that there are so many candidates with a chance - shows it has truly been a team effort. Lala's time will come - the next MLT if he stays with us for sure!!
