How come Carlisle have two Prem club players on loan - one from Stoke & one from sunderland , maybe even more. About time we followed suit. All a bit flat at the moment.

The Regal in Market Street - opposite where Burtons is now. Not sure what the old pic house is used for now, but it did become a Night Club at one stage - Martines I think it was called. Used to go to the Sat morning flicks. The 1st billing I saw was Batman & Robin v The Penguin Man, Also on was Woody Woodpecker. Got chucked out once for throwing an empty Kia Orange Cartoon over the balcony by a torch bearing nazi like woman. Scared me to death she did!!

Might be a good ruse to get earlier retirement later in life LOL. Meanwhile which changing rooms / toilets does the lady/bloke use? What sort of surroundings is the child likely to be brought up in? The cutway between the small bridge just past Concorde and Southampton Road used to be one of my old fav playing / adventure places as a kid. We called it GreenGrove - not sure it that was it's official name or something we made up ala our Secret 7 type adventures!! The Nurseries and the woods either side were great for Bird spotting and we'd risk life and limb climbing trees just to look in the birds nests - didn't collect them like some people did though. The thrill of seeing them was enough for us. And there were a couple of rope swings hanging from the bigger trees - great fun. The stream which ran down to Fleming Park was full of eels, catfish and stickle backs as well as frogs spawn when in season. Don't suppose anything lives in it now.

Last Winch Beer Festival I went to was just after we'd announced the Kevin Keegan signing .... great sing song echping around the hall. I went on the Thurs night and at the end remember scrabbling around on the floor behind one of the stalls scooping up a load of "used' beer vouchers that hadn't been torn up and was able to use them on the Saturday - bonus!!! Also remember a girl winning the yard of ale competition .... she certainly knew how to swallow, and she wasn't a porker either. Funniest thing was watching the bloke whó's time she beat have a 2nd attempt - with disasterous consequences - heuyed up all over the stage LOL
