  1. Not wearing my anaorak so had to cheat with The Chalk & Holley Complete Saints History - And yes you are right 76/77 season Ian Turner. Steve Middleton Colin Boulton & Jim Montgomery on Loans Till Peter Wells joined in december
  2. Hardly ever being in the starting line up doesn't really give him much of a chance to go on a run does it!! I'd hazard a guess that his goal return per minute on the pitch is probably the best at the club this season.
  3. In order that we have a well-defined system of disciplinary methods, we will utilise the "Infractions" system on this forum. These basically award points relative to the offence committed and remain in place for a given length of time, apply to all forums except where explicitly specified, and are listed below: Posting a pointless or sarcastic remark - 1 point, expires after 1 month Re-starting a theme of a locked topic - 2 point, expires after 6 months Insulting or abusing another member - 2 points, expires after 6 months Implied racist remark - 4 points, expires after 6 months Posting an "inappropriate" image or link - 4 points, expires after 6 months Circumventing the non-paying user restrictions - 5 points, expires after 6 months Threatening behaviour towards another member - 5 points, expires after 6 months Libel - 10 points, automatic 2-week ban Just a thought. Geese and Ganders etc.
  4. Or at worst come 2nd.!!!
  5. Game will be post poned for sure - I'm not working and will be able to listen to the commentary - can't remember the last game I listened to live or could actually have a beer as not working later. Fingers crossed for this one though.
  6. Am I missing the point here - (can't be arsed waiting for the NOTW story to load on my steam driven computer) - but WTF is he doing with a high powered rifle / airgun / even water pistol in the changing rooms FFS. Proppa gangsta innit. Can't wait to see the photos of it from his mobile phone - if theres any space left on it what with all his sexual conquests on there an all. Total wanque spanner.
  7. As said through out this thread - was was one of the all time best defenders to play for us. An absolute rock in the heart of defence. Remember seeing him in his first few games and wondering how we managed to get him in on a free ahead of the big boys. RIP Deano.
  8. Another night where we failed to win though .... Adkins out
  9. LOL .... One on Ones with the keeper never really was his strong point was it!!!
  10. Andy ... set your standards a bit higher and look for a pub with a nicer class of female clientele
  11. Not been the same since they clamped down on Derby Road. Who, besides Avram grunt, wants to go out to an industrial unit in Horton heath for a tugging FFS!!
  12. My Family and Other Animals
  13. Maybe those guys from The New Forest Lapland Project still have some spare snow to get rid of?
  14. Or Kelvin's fault!!!
  15. Have fun tonight boys and girls. Just off to bed, up in 6 hours to go to work PAH. The weather was nice and sunny today!! Very surprised that there hasn't been any mention of Monkey Hanging (or spanking on this thread - big change from last years!!) COYS.
  16. I think Deppo is back on the market ...... 0 out of 5 in your wish list but as you said beggers can't be chosers.!!
  17. In this day and age of The innernet DIY is defo the way to go. We never ever use Tour companies, we deal direct with Hotels, airport transfer, ski hire companies and ski school. Admittedly at times the convenience of having flights/ transfer and hotel done for you would be nice - but you can save a lot of money doing it yourself, and tailor the dates to suit your needs, not be stuck with their schedule, - but if your flight is late it could screw everything else up if you are relying on local public transport etc. For ski equipment hire we have used this compay and found them reliable. They normally deal with several hire shops in each resort so you can choose the most suitable for where you are staying. Last time out it was the shop in the hotel we were staying in!! http://www.snowrental.net/be/ski.asp?atid=newsletter2uk&lang=en&utm_medium=affiliation&utm_source=newsletteruk&utm_campaign=newsletteruk Get Googling and contact hotels / guest houses etc direct. We've not been thru Innsbruck so can't help out with local trasport there. Try looking at Where to Ski and SnowBoard or Ski Club Of Great britain for info. Just seen this in the latest Sow rental Newsletter that may of be of interest to you re yr children ....... 4. Obergurgl, Autria In most resorts, when your kids are older than 12, youll get charged adult prices for their accommodation and lift passes. For those of you whose little ones arent that little anymore, Obergurgl in Austria has a higher age level of 14, so you can still benefit from some very low prices for your kids. Fresh snow, flattering slopes and friendly ski instructors provide the perfect mix for a great family ski holiday. With Snowrental you can also benefit from a higher age level of 14 years for ski hire in Obergurgl, so book now. Sorry to everybody else - just realised i could have PM'd but can't be arsed now!!
  18. Yep .... but about 20 years ago so Hotel / night life info a bit out of date!!! Good skiing for Intermediate - very high resort - probably highest in Austria - makes it pretty much snow sure and there's a glacier up there as well. Being at the end of the valley makes the transfer from Munich quite long, about 4hrs if I remember, which can make for an early get up when you are leaving if you are on a morning flight home!! , but there again roads etc may have improved etc. More of a family type of resort, not a great deal of rowdy night life, but a few apres ski evenings such as taboggining and going down luge runs in giant tyres were fun. Soll and Solden are a bit more younger type resorts I believe. Most of the skiing is above the tree line which is a shame. I think we stayed in The Edelweiss which was a huge hotel with great facilities, but pricey. Luckily for us Thomas Cook or whoever screwed up and double booked where we should have been staying and put us in there instead - bonus!! Nice scenic village as opposed to some of the French purpose built places, but not very much in the way of English type bars for sports (back then anyway) which may or may not be a blessing to you. If anywhere is going to have snow - they will.
  19. WTF is happenig here? Is this like that episode of Dallas? or some other crap soap whereby everything that happened over the whole series turns out to be a dream and didn't happen at all or something like that. Except the bit about Deppo having some bloke's fingers up his butthole - I reckon that has probably happened many a time!!
  20. Make sure you take a few pics of the Runway at The Altiport .... looks like a banana !! We watched a few light aircraft take off .... well to say take off is a bit of an exaggeration ... more like fell off the end of the runway and manged to get enough speed up to avoid plummeting into the valley. Amazing!! This one did a bit better ....
  21. That is our solution for Easter with it being so late this year. strangely enough our last 3 Easter Skiing Hols ( 2 x VT and last year Tignes) we've had loads of snow fall whilst there, sometimes blizzard conditions - not the fair weather sunny conditions we were expecting!!! Mind you even up at 2300m where the village is the snow certainly needed topping up. Further down in Meribel it was slushy and horrible. There are a couple of bars which have Sky and serve bitter!! The Frog and Roast beef boasts itself as the highest pub in Europe. They actually offer a Snow Guarantee from End of |Nov till May!! http://www.neigegarantie.com/
  22. Didn't actually see it, don't even know if it was a good goal and in the mists of time can't even be sure which team, let alone player !! - but I think it was Shrewsbury in The FA Cup and effectively got rid of Branfart and got us the Bally & Lawrie dream team and the rebirth of MLT.
  23. Ice burn of the buttocks is serious business. If i remember correctly water pipes had burst and a large area of the terracing under the stands was covered in ice as well. Elf & Safety issue. These Northerners though are pretty soft - remember a few years ago Sheff Wed had to cancel a few games because of a few drops of rain -
  24. Maybe Fatboy Saint or Ben The Legend can put us in the picture. The Post Match Interview by Nige was a bit of a disappointment. And for all you wrist slitters look on the bright side - Clean sheet, no injuries, no bookings/sending offs, no calamities from Kelv, no open goals missed by Guly or Nguessan, and the forum didn't crash at key momemnts.
  25. Any of the hardy Match Day Threads Crew who make personal sacrifices such as 1) going outside for a lucky smoke during the match, 2) go to the loo for a lucky dump, 3) drink copious amounts of Old Speckled Hen, wine, cider, etc 4) Make weather reports, 5) trawl through dodgy innernet sites looking for camel toes or nuns in sexy lingerie, 6) share their innermost personal secrets of what they are having for lunch/dinner 7) put up with Alps dismissing our chances of a win after failing to win a corner in the first 30 seconds hang on to Merry Davington's commentary just waiting for the next pearl of wisdom in exactly what it is that we don't won't to do now is 9) get up/or stay up till silly o clock local time across the globe to be a part of all this safe in the knowledge that the moment anything exciting happens the board is going to go mammaries up !! MatchDay Crew .... I salute you
