AP missing Fontes wife maybe

Fergie is somewhat nonplussed as the ref dares to give us a throw in, much to Adkins surprise as he sarcastically applauds the ref.
-
We should wheel out the old Ted Bates statue and pretend it's Norman Wisdom - he'd join us in a flash. Apparantly Norman Wisdom is/was a cult figure in Albania and when England played there he went along and had more people clamouring to get his autograph than beckham and the rest of the England players!! LOL

Back in the 70's when Ossie left and went over to the US we used to sing My Ossie lies over the ocean, my Ossie lies over the sea My Ossie lies over the ocean, Bring back my Ossie to me to me bring back etc etc

......... and hoping and praying that the exit door isn't used either.

Go on then - for us who weren't there give us a clue.

ericofarabia replied to Jimmy_D's topic in General Sports
You've all got the wrong end of the stick ..... he got fined for playing a weekend side for a midweek match HTH -
Probably doing a few laps of the M25 to make sure you don't have anytime for pre match beers in Peterboro

Man City forum - just before we score (and the goal etc of course)

The referees a Manker -
Really? What was Pardew's user name

Seeing as the fred wasn't started by Benthelegend or FatbadboySaint, I thought it was going to be about having problems getting back home by train
-
Damn that means somebody better than him will be playing!!

This is what we like - positive thinking. Also sets up a midweek visit to lancashire for a repeat of the Oldham match where a few hundred hardy supporters will be treated to a massive 6-0 win to make up for the capitulation at SMS earlier this season.

Enjoy! - think about the workers - will be driving to work at Kick off - Is Anna going? Did you want to collect the shirt. I'll be sleeping till about 2pm, but text after then if you want to drive by, if not we'll arrange a meeting soon.

Will they be additional to our Bus or instead of? Future Adkins Interviews will have to stipulate Bus or MiniBus A or MiniBus B.

That's a bit bizarre - it was also my last ever match at the hallowed old girl. Remember being nearly in tears at half time thinking that my last ever memories would be a thrashing - but oh those last 20 mins were right up there with the best of memories.

First Saints Game:- Saints 1st ever game in Div 1. 1966 - Man City at The Dell, 1-1. The original glory hunter me First Away Game:- 2nd season in Div 1 ... 6-2 win at the mighty Chelsea - down hill since then!! Best Away Trip:- Various Cup games in the 70's. 10000 in the Trent End 77 for a thrilling 3-3 draw, another massive following at WBA in the 76 cup run plus of course the semi at Stamford bridge and the final itself. League wise the promotion season 79 more massive invasions of Orient and my fav 2-1 at Luton with Peachy scoring a pen right in front of us near the end that sent us into raptures as promotion was within touching distance. Favourite Saints Memories:- The Cup magic of 76. Firstly winning the semi and it sinking in that we were going to Wembley and then beating skatesmuff a few days later which virtually condemned them to relegation. Then the Final, the drive home and Civic Centre reception watched clinging onto a slender branch from one of those trees outside The Soul Cellar, and then my favourite ever the Micky Channon Testimonial. a truly magical night. Worst Saints Memories:- The spineless capitulation to Man U when we were relegated - thanks to redkraps team selection - SKP on the bench FFS - and motivational skills - Remember when he took over saying it would need a miracle to keep this bunch up, need another 6 players etc etc. Talk about building team spirit. Preferred Strand St. Mary's:- Kingsland corner. Preferred Stand The Dell:- Under the choccy boxes mid 70's and then Under East stand next to The Cage late 70s. St. Mary's or the Dell:-St. Mary's. We simply could not survive any longer at The Dell. I have many precious memories of The Dell to cherish.. Best current player:- Adam Lallana. Favourite Players technically other than Le Tiss:- Terry Paine best ever winger, Ron Davies best ever headerer of the ball. Alan Ball the master of one touch football. Favourite Players cult wise other than Le Tiss:- Eric Martin, Brian O Neil, Micky Channon and his windmill, Franny for his sheer perseverence and ability to persuade numerous different managers to pick him despite his lack of skill and finesse!! When the Spirit of Southampton meant something!! Favourite unsung heroes:- Nick Holmes. Tony Funnell and Mickey Evans for thier short but oh so important cameo roles they played in promotion (TF) and staying up (ME) Favourite Manager:-Lawrie Mac Thanks for the wonderful memories.. Most hated Players:- David Speedie. Also Kashfool, Kenwynne Jones and Berkovic in the way they handled there ways of getting transfers from us. Worst Players:- Stuart Ripley and neil McCann totally failed to live up to expectations. The dynamic duo of Dixon & Speedie who would score more goals than a young inexperienced teenager called Shearer that they replaced - DOH. Worst Manager:- Branfoot who just didn't understand the Southampton way but was an honourable man, where as Kvntflaps should never have taken the job when he knew his heart wasn't in it. I reckon even the Dutch duo or Compo could have kept us up that season. Where will Saints be in 5 years time realistically:- In the mega bucks Premiership - but will it be fun, I don't know. Getting there will be more enjoyable.

After 59 medicals at SMS, Austin has decided to go elsewhere ..... or maybe not
-
He would have been if the medical staff weren't effing about giving Austin bloody medical checks twice a day, everyday, for the last two weeks!!!
-
Makes a change from Nigerian millionaires i suppose!! What's the 75 yr old bird like
-
Only for those that are on the bus or in the building. Not so easy for the rest of us.
-
How much money have we wasted on giving him medicals and travelling expenses FFS
-
Not this one on Matchday freds - bloody lightweight FFS
-
The longer it drags on the less chance of spending any revenue anyway - if we have anyone in mind we should do it now before (assuming the worst) Oxo goes. Any enquiries we make after that event would be met with silly figure quotes.

I'll be on the Woking to Heathrow Bus in a couple of hours.
