Listening to the build up on Brighton site .... ha ha they have been worried about conceding from corners recently so have been practicing at defending corners ..... no way we will score from one today then .... just for a change!!

Stop it .... you'll be getting the brighton fans excited!!!

Cripes .... I didn't realise Bomo were still under a transfer embargo ....... how on earth have skatesmuff got away with it? Got to give them a bit of credit for how they have coped.

Nope ... a very nice Bordeaux .... luckily not one of these ..... Monty Python's Flying Circus - "Australian Table Wines" [ from the album Monty Python's Previous Record, 1972 ] The Players:Eric Idle - Wine Expert; The Scene:Soft introduction music plays .....WINE EXPERT:A lot of people in this country pooh-pooh Australian table wines. This is a pity as many fine Australian wines appeal not only to the Australian palate but also to the cognoscenti of Great Britain. Black Stump Bordeaux is rightly praised as a peppermint flavoured Burgundy, whilst a good Sydney Syrup can rank with any of the world's best sugary wines. Château Blue, too, has won many prizes; not least for its taste, and its lingering afterburn. Old Smokey 1968 has been compared favourably to a Welsh claret, whilst the Australian Wino Society thoroughly recommends a 1970 Coq du Rod Laver, which, believe me, has a kick on it like a mule: eight bottles of this and you're really finished. At the opening of the Sydney Bridge Club, they were fishing them out of the main sewers every half an hour. Of the sparkling wines, the most famous is Perth Pink. This is a bottle with a message in, and the message is 'beware'. This is not a wine for drinking, this is a wine for laying down and avoiding. Another good fighting wine is Melbourne Old-and-Yellow, which is particularly heavy and should be used only for hand-to-hand combat. Quite the reverse is true of Château Chunder, which is an appellation contrôlée, specially grown for those keen on regurgitation; a fine wine which really opens up the sluices at both ends. Real emetic fans will also go for a Hobart Muddy, and a prize winning Cuivre Reserve Château Bottled Nuit San Wogga Wogga, which has a bouquet like an aborigine's armpit.

But it was my mum's birthday a week and a half ago Maybe i should say i'm a friend of Cortez The Killer
-
Wasn't there some talk last year that all Brighton's games are streamed so that their owner can watch from where ever he maybe ..... but it's a hush hush sorry I'll have to kill you if i tell you link apparently. So hopefully should be up on here in 5 mins .... I can receive PMs if you wish to let me know it!!
-
Or maybe wishful thinking from some of your gheyer fans!!! sorry couldn't resist it sweetie Despite your slump in form, we are under no doubts how important a win is for us, but it isn't going to be easy, and no doubt your players will view this as one of their biggest challenges of the season and would view a draw as a great acheivement.

I'm going to be struggling as well... a bottle of Red already downed (shared with Mrs EoA admittedly) but #2 opened ready for Beef Wellington dinner ... The Old Specky's could be a real test to me lasting thru till 2am. My posting could be good though!! I apologise in advance to any body i upset ... unless you deserved it!! Just had The Saints Are Coming on 6 times, This Perfect Day by The Saints twice and OWTSGMI by Louis Armstrong twice from my Itunes list. We are going to rock tonight. COYS

All this talk of debut hat tricks and no mention of Nicky Banger. I think it was his full debut .... a 5-0 ? win over some northern monkeys Oldham? Rochdale? Halifax? in the 80's. I was back in UK for that one as well. SFC should pay for my air fare home the next time we have a young debutante in the line up!!!
-
LOL I knew I shouldn't have offered to chop up a few onions and mushrooms and open a bottle of wine for Mrs EoA ..... you beat me to the same conclusion!!! Of course Wrighty didn't become captain of England till after he left us (but the question does take this into account!!). Conflicting answers to top scorer ... surely Matt got over 200 for us, although Micky may have got more league goals.

I reckon the OP is posting on behalf of a friend who wants "Kate Loves Willy"removed from her left buttock before April

Why did Wisey have such an effect on you that you felt compelled to do that?
-
Okay .... I've cheated .... even though I was there!!! Mark Blake ..... can't say I remember much about him. Or do you mean Kevin Bond who scored .... an og for The Ar5e!!

Club versus Country? A study into football fan loyalty
ericofarabia replied to fanloyaltystudy's topic in The Saints
So would Matt le Tissier .... he wouldn't even mind Saints conceding a throw in -
lol !!

it's our away form at the "big" teams that is a major worry ... we just don't seem to approach the game in the right manner and get steam rollered far to easily ... ie Huddersfield, Carlisle and MK Dons who were on a bit of a run at the time we played them. But agree about the choking at "big games" with a large expectant crowd (or god forbid TV Cameras LOL).... happens too often home and away. Staying up to 2 am to listen to this .... please make it worth my while!! Might as well get my stereotypical lock up your sons, fluffy pink pussy cats and any other little rodents you may own .... etc comments in now!! Brighton Boys are on their way

Yep right up to the moment he scores I think he was given a bad time by Redkrap .... drop your potentially most potent/experienced goal scorer for the biggest game of the clubs history .... you saggy faced caaaarrrrnt. KP always gave it everything he had, his troubles seemed to be more off the field than on. Mind you "'Stand up if you've ****ged his wife.. " and seeing half the ground stand up, was one of the all time classics Fuller's reaction to his ribbing when we played Stoke was a bit naughty, but it showed we were getting to him!!! And Jones going on strike, are probably the 2 I wouldn't send Xmas cards to, but I still get some enjoyment if either score in the prem, as i do with the numerous old boys plying their trade there!!

Eric Martin .... a cult hero more than a legend I guess.

Most of my favs have been mentioned already. Alan Shearer's hat trick against one of the meanest defenses in the land. Ossies debut really caught the publics imagination, the previous home game had just over 17000 and Ossies debut for a mid week game had over 26500 and boy did the place rock that night. Probably the first time that I can remember the whole ground singing, real shivers down the spine stuff that could only happen at The Dell on a cold wet evening game. Stevie Williams bossing the game at Notarf Krap, only in the team because a few of the senior players over indulged after our semi final win a few days prior!! Apparently he went storming into Lawries office to find out why he wasn't in the reserve teams line up that week, calmed down a bit when lawrie showed him the 1st team line up!!! Great goal scoring debuts for Graham Baker, Bobby Stokes and Steve Moran. Kevin Keegans long awaited start, after the deal had been announced 6 months previously, really showed our intent. Finally ... not an individual's ... but St Mary's itself. Not the friendlies but the season opener to all star Chelsea. OK we lost, but living out of the country this was the first time I had actually seen the ground in the flesh ..... at last we had arrived in the big time .. all the extra revenue would surely take us up another level ..... little did I know!!! But at least it is ours now and will hopefully be packed to the rafters again for every home game.

Couldn't find any links to Leo Sayer singing the song of the Thread title. RLSGM certainly hasn't been firing on all (if any) cylinders this season, but he is always a presence that defences cannot ignore and his threat from free kicks will make defenders think twice about rash challenges on the edge of the box that may give other players that extra moment to do something with the ball. Hopefully he will show marked improvement and regain his appetite for the game as we continue our rise to the top of the table.
