Watched the High Performance podcast featuring him the other day. Came across as introspective without being arrogant. I like that he is prepared to adapt to get a win. Get the impression he will connect well the squad. Of course that's just how he comes across. Will he be a winner in the Championship? I don't know, but this is the first Sport Republic appointment I'm overall positive about. I'll get behind him. Welcome Will and good luck, you have a big year ahead.

SR do this every window it feels like, remember Gakpo? Worrying as it feels like they are unable to conclude negotiations effectively.

Shame to have lost, but it just shows the overwhelming talent and ability that City possess at this level.

But enough about Leicester.

The unbeaten run and whether he 'succeeded' in the Championship is irrelevant. His job did not end in May 2024, it continued into the following season and he failed. Although the board is to blame for a lack of DoF last summer as well as keeping him until December, he spoiled our squad with his woeful style of play, a lack of discipline and a lack of athleticism. For what it's worth I wanted to win the league last year. We never threatened that.

What a bizarre season. I'm sure at the start of this season, maybe any season, Saints fans would snap your hand off to finish three places below a Tottenham with Champions League football the following year. They would never guess that would be 20th place.

Full-time. The football wasn't great at times and you could tell why Tottenham and Man United have suffered in the league this season. But Tottenham just had that edge this game. They were desperate to win. Very tidy defending when it was needed most. Man United, off the boil and wasteful.

Great by van de Ven

The problem isn’t promotion and relegation it is how the money flows through the pyramid. Due to the Premier League being a seperate entity its constituent clubs can vote for measures that serve them but not clubs outside of the league.

Rooney?!

I lost a lot of respect for Spurs fans after their attitude during the City game last year. Wanting to miss out on Champions League to stop Arsenal winning the league is very small-minded. I also dislike Man United more than Spurs. Postecoglou was referred to as a clown by the media, well “New Trafford” looks like a circus! I like Ange Postecoglou. For that reason I’d like Spurs to win.

I disagree, we have an experienced DoF in now, we should use his expertise. Letting Martin have too much input on signings was a disaster.

Absolutely buzzing for next season. Of course ourselves, Ipswich and Leicester will be fighting for promotion but I expect Wrexham and Birmingham will make a good fist of it too. A few big name play off stragglers like Coventry, West Brom, Sunderland will be up there and if the rumours of the Walton family buying Sheffield Wednesday are true they may well pick up as well. Not to mention the derby too. It'll be a breath of fresh air after this disaster of a season.
