What ever happened to the Switch off campaign, suppose we have a break from saving the planet over christmas, double standards

At the Dell to Bradford(I think) "You'll never see our new ground"

Do not think there is much to speak of other than why he chose to speak now, as Weston stated he is entitled to defend himself against accusations made regarding conduct during his tenure and could have done that sooner, could be he has someone advising him when to speak and the content in order he is not percieved as a mouth piece, again. There are digs about Lowe but in the main my intepretation is that he has restrained from getting invloved too much in a slanging match as has SFC who are entitled to advertise the product as often as possible which they have done in their statement, Crouch has personal grievances against those involved in running the club at the moment but as he highlights he continues to sponsor and support the team, something those who are staying away at the moment should consider.

I do not wish to go into the intricacies of PLC's in football but surely for shareholders to collect dividends the club will have made profits thus more attractive to outside investors(if any still exist) and less beholding to the bank, in any event we seem far off any of that so would rather hear/read the reality of our situation than hear/read how this one game will save us from all our problems, equally it offers a welcome cash injection

Which would be relative to the money made so it would be a win win situation, no ?
-
I imagine it would be to hope for a win then a tie against United, Chelsea, Liverpool etc....

Fri - Dog walk, No alcohol Sat- Dog Walk, No alcohol Sun- Interuption to schedule went to Gun wharf, do not like feeding their economy but as it was HER weekend towed the line followed her around the shops like a 12 year old with my coat hanging off my shoulders saying how bored I was at every opportunity followed by a dog walk and still no alcohol. Had the best sleep ive had in a very long time over this weekend but refuse to believe it was because I had no alcohol, normal service will resume next weekend in order I can make an informed decision on the sleep pattern. 4/10 -
If I was in the immediate vicinity I would have expressed my concern and highlighted the fact that we were in a public place, however, I am not against this form of discipline and my only issue would be that it was in public, if I thought it was excessive I would have slapped the guy that slapped the girl

Skinner ?? which would have been inappropriate, this one has simply been removed and GIVEN to the individual in the photo, a photo of which the image does not have an immediate reference to Saints( I appreciate to some the two may seem intrinsically linked), as stated earlier the cup does not have Saints scarfs tied onto it, Saints ribbons, Text to identify the year or team etc.... -
encouraged and will get excited when it is 5 or 6 with convincing wins amongst them, still outplaying teams but NEED the end product

I am sure there are pictures which express directly the image of our winning the cup, this is an indirect image and more personal to the man in the picture than to our club, I do not see saints colours draped over the cup -

Its not a picture of our finest moment, its of the manager of the time holding the cup, more personal to him than the club, the team holding up the cup would be entirely different had that been replaced. The picture has been given, given not sold or anything more sinister, so for me this is no great shakes and certainly no great suprise just part of an on going joust of ego's so who gives a fu ck, oh yeah, those who look for any stick to beat the club with and fuel division. -
Agree 100%

[quote=Weston Super Saint;119823 Then there was the choice of Adidas, Puma and Gola. I remember when the New Balance boot came out, was made of Kangaroo leather I believe, best boots I ever had, after every game a wash down put in the oven to dry, loads of dubbing applied then polished and shined, lasted quite some time mainly because they had to, also remember my Patrick boots just prior to my NB's.

We are not talking broadly about inhabitants of the town, I would not expect my old mum to go but I would expect 'fans' to return, especially those that have not experienced 'the product' this season and to see how 'the product' although being much cheaper to make, alot more effort seems to be put in to it and in parts is far better quality than 'the product' produced in the last round of production.

In my playing days anyone wearing these type of coloured boots would be an immediate target and get two footed around the throat area, which to most, seemed fair

On BBC website: Calling older patients "dearie" or "love" is set to be ruled out as offensive by new guidelines from the Nursing and Midwifery Council. Nurses should speak "courteously and respectfully" and use patients' preferred names, the NMC recommends. But terms of endearment can be used in some areas if they are part of everyday speech - it may appear unusual if they are omitted, the draft guidance says. Would like to see girls calling other girls "babe" banned or punished by a poke in the whiskers

Ive drunk in the Maybush/Tops/Bush Inn for near on 20 years now, throughout that time I could list the amount of fights in there, its not the kind of pub people come to looking for a fight, invariably every one knows each other, you would have a slight bingle between 2 people with about 5 others trying to break it up, it never got out of hand, not really as the place is kind of disciplined by the patrons. Ringside used to get trouble because of the eclectic mix of people that, if not regularly drunk there, would come to see certain "personalities" and then would bump into people they had a run in with years previous that never really got sorted add to that those who were intent on creating a reputation for themselves
