if you hold the power button down for 6-7 seconds it will turn off. All technology has a habit of being a bit funny from time to time, so I wouldn't worry about it unless it does it again or starts doing other peculiar things.

My iphone 16gb 3gs warranty is due to expire in January. They're offering me another year warranty at £60. Sounds alright to me. What do you think? I've got no interest in getting an iphone 4 at all - played with one and can't see enough improvements for me to warrant the cash. I've dropped and abused this phone so badly too that it wouldn't be worth much, and it's kept going!
