Why would anyone loan a club in their situation £15million... its these questions that keep this thread alive.

Of course, no club in their right mind (unless they had a vested interest...) would pay 5million for a player that they couldn't utilise until the start of next season; they would need to pay his wages (or a percentage there of) even if he was loaned back to Portsmouth.

Not sure, Im pretty sure a 'keeper can play for more that 2 clubs in "an emergency" situation (ala Paul Jones) but not sure about outfield players. There is certainly nothing stopping someone buying Boateng and then loaning him back to Portsmouth for the rest of the season.

Why are people saying that Boateng cant be sold? he can be sold (there is no limit on how many clubs can hold the registration) but he cant PLAY for another club...

Seems to have different usage in different places. I was confused when I started posted on S4E as it was used as a term of mateyness; whereas when I was a school in the 80s/90s in Surrey it was a "rude" slang term akin to calling someone an arsehole or ******.

I had that, wasnt it something to do with the Yahoo! toolbar? i disabled a load of toolbars I didnt want/need and it never showed the thumbnail thingy again.

For £15 the 7 DVD set is a steal. There were a shed load of CDs released to link in - A "soundtrack" from each film, a boxset called "The Blues: A Musical Journey" and a host of compilations from major blues and blues influenced artists. All a worth a punt if you find them cheap. A lot are not out of print and the boxset is on Amazaon for a pretty penny, about £100 IIRC. Drop me a PM if you cant find them and I can 'help you out'...
