  1. Those chains of debt chafing at all? This irrational belief is what replaced religion, people.
  2. Yeah yeah, narrow the argument to oil dosh after I'd already incorporated revenue raising powers into my position. Nowt to stop Scotland from doing a Colorado after independence, there's a huge cost off your copper budget and a new source of revenue right there. Taxation and tourism I'm sure the OBR is utterly apolitical too. Both problems with the "no" lot. Eat up any shít that's thrown into the box they're thinking in. Independence offers leeway that some just can't conjure, it would seem.
  3. A situation they can do a lot more about after independence. Better share of oil dosh, ability to raise revenue in any way they see fit. Whatever deficit probs Scotland have now may seem trivial compared to what rUK's might be. http://www.wealthynation.org/the-power-of-scotland/
  4. That menu you're ordering off not looking a little stale, Sergei Gotsmanov? Not tired of only ever eating corporate-sponsored neo-liberal slop for dinner and debt for dessert? You're a stoic fellow with a cast-iron stomach, I'll give you that.
  5. They generate 9.4% of the tax take with 8.4% of the population, for starters.
  6. I've no plans to, but I wouldn't rule it out at this stage. Why would I? Little is known about what an independent Scotland might be, what sort of incentives they'd have on offer. Too late for me and my family, but if you're middle-class and have a litter of smart little sprogs, moving to a stable Scotland would effectively give the lot of them a financial head start. Wait and see is a perfectly fine option, I reckon.
  7. Scotland might be the place to move to if they are successful in securing their own left-wing utopia! Somewhat more seriously, check these f**king morons. "Fed up with subsidising them!", they say - forgetting that Scotland aren't actually subsidised and that English and Welsh citizens are being royally f**ked over on what used to be basic entitlements, or at the very least, long term investment in the country. Turkeys that can't even be arsed waiting for Christmas to get roasted. Welcome to corporatist Britain. Reactionary Tories are its cheerleaders.
  8. That's fine. I am one. Doesn't change anything I've said.
  9. Fair play to Batman for sticking his neck out, but that sounds like a list of what he wants for Christmas, rather than any serious (and sourced) political viewpoint.

    Short vs bald

Alas, it wasn't the rich seam of flange that sir suggests. Was still very much doing the girlfriend thing, which limited opportunities. However, I would own up to all of them, and would actually be fairly proud in a couple of cases. The dot com boom was a weird time. You are extremely mistaken if you think there were any workable business plans about. Everything depended on advertising revenue, which was a problem because the infrastructure wasn't really there at the time. A lot of people jostling for the same stuff too.
  13. Does this do ya?

  15. Good article in the New Statesman, arguing that whatever the result, Westminster politicians have never looked so powerless. http://www.newstatesman.com/politics/2014/09/even-if-union-endures-last-vestiges-westminster-s-authority-have-been-washed-away
  16. Our media team has been excellent for years, tbf - but it was superb seeing the Franny/MLT man hug at St Mary's. As I said, media team deserves a lot of praise.
  17. Complete opposite, which is why I suggested Itchen North. Northam is nice and loud, but depending on the attendance, there can be a big gap between the away fans and the home fans in that stand. The focus here is different, especially in the grounds. The vast majority of it is banter and the back and forth of chanting each other. Last year, when we played Stoke, we did the "you're so Northern you eat off the floor" chant. They got us back with "You're so southern, you're practically French". They then called us French bastards. Is back and forth banter even possible with the ground setup in Holland?
  18. Show some propers, you pair of fúckmuppets. You're addressing the Lounge Act of 2013. Credibilty
  19. I have no idea what things are like in Scotland, but to be frank, I'm doubting I'm going to get a balanced perspective from either yourself or Jamie on the issue. You're both approaching the subject with no imagination, both utterly fallen for all of the scare stories that have been doing the rounds in the news, both crippled by the conceit that independence means that Scotland will somehow continue to do things as badly as Westminster. Batman's credibility on the issue is non-existent, based on his dislike of Salmond and the fact that he'll have to find a new job.
  20. Some of it is even sourced.
  21. Scotland; don't listen to Alps. He has a very warped view of the UK. He tried to move back, couldn't hack it, bailed back to Yodel land after two weeks and now spends most of his time griping about it. He doesn't live here no more
  22. Toke's mates on the Separatist Council. Well, I say mates. He has to send them a cheque for 50,000 creds every month or they pretend not to know him.
  23. Darling? Quiet, you dry separatist lunch.
