Koeman's first Southampton press conference 11/7/14
pap replied to Matthew Le God's topic in The Saints
Maybe, but only a little. Overall the transparency of the interview was very good. Bit of time will see him pick up the nuances, especially as he's evidently making the effort - but there was an over reliance of certain key phrases. He'll get over it. Liked the forthright stance on Lovren too. -
The turnaround on this was disappointing. Jack Whitehall monopolising your writers, or are the demons simply slumbering during early afternoon?

Seemed positive, but difficult to be certain. I look forward for it being true. -

Crapola questions from the journos, really. Interesting to hear the bit at the end about Schneiderlin; hopefully RK can turn him around. RK obviously got a way to go on the patter. All sounding a bit Goldmember atm. Even so, very refreshing to hear a Saints manager speaking English. -
Who knows? Maybe one day you'll be able to compete with intelligent people too. Training wheels though, mush. You're doing the right thing.

I actually met someone with the surname "Hardman" - a fleeting boyfriend of a former female acquaintance. He had his own catchphrase:- "A hard man is good to find". (See what he did there?) I had the feeling that this was the zenith of his intellectual achievement; he's probably still doing it now. If anyone knows him (Southampton-based), can you call him a prat on my behalf?

A Hunger Games / Running Man arrangement would be interesting. Get all the SaintsWeb hardmen, and have the grizzled denizens of the UI ( preferably the ones that have been turfed out of here ) chasing them with withering sarcastic comments / chainsaws, etc.

It's a special pleasure to see you taking on the forum hard men, CB Fry. I've never seen anyone have a go at Dalek2003 before. Will you do Alps next? That's pretty original too. Keep up this fantastic work in the "undiscovered country".

I know. Nutter, innit. Fecking hatstand. Wibble.

There is a lot of logic to doing your business early, but this isn't early. The likes of Diego Costa going to Chelsea is early; stable clubs with big squads, making long term plans with transfers that every man and his dog knows is going to happen. Outside of that, it's not an exact science. The ripple effect drives a lot of the market; we're a case in point. We're presently seeking three, possibly five replacements ourselves. Some huge club may decide to splash the cash on players, making existing talent available. Probably worth having a bit of cash around to take advantage of those opportunities.

Remember when van Wolfswinkel was feted as an early business masterstroke?

It's really successful. It captures several demographics, including the "get rich quick" and the "ransack other people's shít" crowds. Sometimes there are fights.

The way they jury service is good enough. If you know any of the defendants, you can't sit in judgment. This isn't a problem we haven't solved.

If we're going to have an enquiry, I think its best that conflicts of interest are removed. She may have to investigate her own brother. Do you reckon that's ideal?

Assuming anyone is interested in seeing a robust enquiry, this petition might be worth a visit. https://you.38degrees.org.uk/petitions/a-proper-independent-judge-should-be-appointed?bucket&source=facebook-share-button&time=1404908927

It's an interesting line of debate. Not one I'd choose to use in a discussion with a Muslim. Besides, I think stu0x might get bored repeating the same old lines, not every Muslim speaks English and a picture tells a thousand words. Perhaps he can draw a cartoon version of events which he can just hold up to people in lieu of debate.

I said nothing of the sort. Interesting all the ways that stu0x's post is being interpreted. FWIW, you boys are closer to the original meaning than Tim got, I reckon.

Sterling work on this thread, Tim. I'm not sure what I like best; your assessment of paedophilia not being a big thing back in the 70s/80s, the prioritisation of personal insults over any serious discussion of nonces in the establishment or the tired conspiracy label - a couple of days after the government launches two enquiries into potentially massive conspiracies. I take a small measure of comfort from banging on about paedophilia in the establishment for a couple of years, and eventually being vindicated by the announcment of a couple of public enquiries. However, it's surely bugger all (no pun intended) compared to the seemingly boundless credibility you must have acquired through your posts on the subject. Good points, very well made. I live in awe.
-
No he wasn't. This is what he said. Frankly Tim, if you're going to be a contrarian and/or personal stalker then exercise a touch more shrewdness in selecting your battles. In your bid to make a point and score one against your nemesis, you seem to have invented an interpretation that just isn't there. Guess you can get something from nothing, eh?

On the subject of the enquiry, interesting choice of head. http://mikesivier.wordpress.com/2014/07/09/head-of-paedophile-inquirys-own-brother-accused-of-protecting-vip-paedophiles/
