Martin had these players for half a season. It'll take the rest of this campaign to get rid of his malign influence.
-
Last time we played ManU we did well for 30 minutes. This time we did so for an hour or more. Progress of a sort I suppose.
-
Fitness lacking still. Physically and mentally unable to last 100 minutes. Getting there but getting over Martin's bad influence is going to take more time yet.
-
Of all the substitutions available I must admit that putting on Smallbone to play something that might be considered to be a false 9 was not in my playbook. From that moment on it was one way traffic.
-
Did Smallbone do anything other than lose the ball for their equaliser? Seemed pretty anonymous. Manager will learn something from that.
-
We played alright for an hour or so but ultimately didn't have the guts to win a game. Story of the season really.
-
There's that losing mentality.
-
THB. Oh dear. Thinks he's playing RussBall. That just sums this lot up.
-
Oh well. Knew it would end like this didn't we?

Ref donates a FK to MU
-
Gave it away in midfield one time too often.
-
Sod it
-
Ref still giving Saints nothing.
-
Good time for subs. Agree with leaving Sully on. If only he could finish though.
-
Replacing Dibbers with Smallbone. Hmmm! Going more defensive.
-
As with so many games this season Saints profligacy won't help.
-
Dibbers goes down so we can have a rest. Good timing.
-
Let off.
-
Another chance goes begging. Ifonly Sully could finish.
-
That's a penalty at the other end.
-
Need to hold them at bay for 15 minutes.
-
Saints looking more confident and a tad fitter which they need to be with this man-to-man pressing style. Really need to make these chances count though. Probably deserved more than a one goal lead.
-
Does that still count as scoring from a corner?
-
With more clinical finishing Saints could be out of sight. But they aren't so I suppose we'll end the game feeling positive but pointless again.

Their 'keeper's keeping them in it.
