If not a must-win game I'd suggest that is certainly a must-not-lose encounter. To be 10 points behind Millwall in the play-off positions at this stage of the season would make any thoughts of promotion this season almost a forlorn hope. Not impossible of course but given Saints mixed form I'd say improbable.

Half the season has gone and Saints are halfway up the table. That's counting and there's little evidence that anything much will change even with blind hope.

11 points off the promotion places and 10 points clear of relegation. Mid-table finish pretty much nailed on.
