Dear oh dear.

A bit more composure required in the attacking areas.

On the virtually one occasion that Saints attacked with pace they scored. The rest of the game we spent much of the time passing the ball slowly around the back and then losing it when trying to edge forward. Then there was the lack of creativity in the attacking third. Typical home performance really. The sooner we scrape 40 points the better.

West Ham simply came up with the novel idea of playing as if they were the away team. Saints then put in a typical home performance.

JWP has hardly passed a ball forward all game.

How many more times are Saints going to give the ball away and just let West Ham stroll through the defence?

Time to make a lucky half time cup of hot Marmite. Worked last week.

Hammers just waiting for Saints to give away possession in midfield and then breaking quickly. Saints showing little urgency at all and looking vulnerable at the back. Bad mistake by the 'keeper. It'll need a change of attitude 2nd half otherwise I suspect it'll be an easy home win.

Saints attack profligate again while the defence always looks like it could concede. We'll need at least one more goal I reckon.

All this injury time means we'll concede in the 48th minute of the first half.

Not much point in having more possession if it's being spent farting around in our own half. I think the point being made here is that at home there's often not much in the way of chances being created. Neither is there much in the way of urgency. Opponents know how to play us at St Mary's so something needs to change. The statistics don't lie. A game at SMS never has a confident feel about it, even when Saints manage to get a 2 goal lead.

Just two attempts on target all game to their six. That just about sums Saints up at home.

Is there another place where we can play our home games?

No urgency or creation at all. Better hope for 3 away wins. We're hopeless at home.
