I'm resigned to a day of disappointment. The striker problem wasn't addressed in the summer and now the world can see that Saints are desperate. At least by the end of the day we'll know where we are - in more ways than one.

Saints are bottom of the EPL. It's going to be very difficult to persuade anyone to join, especially now that might Brighton are flashing the cash.

Give him a 6 month contract, a shed load of money and a chance to appear weekly in the EPL shop window. Who could refuse? 😬
