Excellent new additions to the panel, as always it’s good to hear the usual suspects talking good sense.

I don’t think Redmond would be anywhere near good enough for any premier league side, he’d still be coming up against premier league defences. He should be ok in the championship, as he’s done well in cup games against lesser opposition, but I doubt he’ll drop wages to go there, which is why will be lumbered until his contract expires.

It is human nature, but at the higher levels of management in any business you do have to put personality to one side, often the greatest talents are much more difficult to manage and control. So it should be about best for the "business" otherwise you end up with a load of agreeable less talented "yes men". Lawrie Mac and Strachan were two examples of managers who got this right, I think maybe also Poch, and players were in awe of Ronald, I don't get that vibe from Ralph.

I think your spot on with the team, it would be risky throwing in the less experienced new players into a game like that. I expect they will be drip fed in as required. I would not like to call the result, I got some heart after the Monaco 2nd half, I haven't seen anything of Saturdays game.

I find the Flashscore app excellent https://www.flashscore.co.uk/

I am a bit out of touch, but how does the inability to father children increase a players value?

The situation reminds me of a famous quote by Ralph Gump, "laafe is laake a bag of onions" it all makes sense now.

I think he was fried half way through the season

Too much chopping and changing for me

I'd be really surprised if that back 3 is used at Spurs. I'd expect it to be JB, Salisu and one of either Lyanco or Stevens, probably Lyanco.

Looks like the shirts and shorts don't belong to the same kit, either needs some black in the shirt or red or white shorts, looks like a last minute enforced kit change.
-
True , but there are probably at least 7 playing who will start against Spurs. There aren’t a lot of options up front

I bet Spurs are pooping their collective pants

Fair play for trying to be positive

I think it’s his body shape, but he hasn’t looked in good condition for a couple of years.

With Jack Stephens at no 10 that's the attack sorted. Just required a bit of blue sky thinking

You are not alone.

True to a degree, I have not considered other teams spending, I am only focussing on our appalling 13 game run at the end of last season and the fact we no longer have Broja, Forster or Tino (for some time). We have more depth, but whether that relates to "stronger in several positions" time will tell. I also have lost faith in Ralph, but that debate has been done to death.

My political beliefs, or yours, have absolutely no relevance or place on Saints forum.

...can't be bothered, you can see the way this thread is going

I don’t want to be branded as negative, so I’ll start with a positive. Rory has aged remarkably well, now for the elephant in the room you are all avoiding, so I am going to stick my neck out. At barely 2 foot Liam is far too small!

Glad you agree!

I think hoping to be “proved wrong” is an entirely reasonable position, one that I take myself. I believe it is a massive mistake to continue with Ralph, but the last thing I want is to be proved right in my belief at the expense the team’s failure.
