Just for info there's a pub called The Brittannia just along from the train station (High Street, that is away fan friendly and allows kids in. Also The Southern Belle opposite station, but a bit more lively on match days. Nearer the ground is the Livvy, but I'd expect it to be packed on Saturday. Turn left out of station, follow Balmoral Road all the way to the end, you'll see the Brian Moore stand directly in front of you (Priestfield Road), take a right past Gordon and Franklin Roads and you are in Livingstone Circus. May be worth taking a stroll along Gordon Road to see if they are letting us use that entrance too as it could save you a long walk around as kick off approaches.. The chippy at Livingstone Circus was the best for miles and I remember getting free bags of 'crackiling' as a youngster from there. Ref the Gordon Road Stand, it was until fairly recently the oldest remaining wooden stand in the league. There is also a British Legion along Livingstone Road for those who have CIU cards. And stay away from those dark alleyways, they stink of **** and dog **** and although they have now erected gates to the ones leading to the away end, the Gillingham yoof have been known to 'jump' people using them as short cuts. iirc there was a mass brawl in one after a Fulham game a few years ago which left one chap dead. Allegedly the brawl started in the alleyway and there was no way out for innocent bystanders simply using it as a short cut.

r I bought a couple of pairs last month, really comfy and the mesh top lets your feet breathe - not that I partake in any sport. Also good as they come in proper sizes. I found them to the right of the counter upstairs in the Soton branch.

I almost bought a video of 'Bournemouth's Greatest Moments' at a car boot sale a couple of weeks ago, the bloke only wanted 50p for it. Unfortunately he wanted 75 quid for the Betamax machine to play it on !

Not at all 9, we are just trying to work out whether as many men have gone down on Mrs G as went down on the Belgrano.

skippy, you obviously have not had the pleasure. And I am reliably informed that what you are alluding to is actually what does go on quite frequently, even today, with quite a few live-aboard boats displaying the canal equivelant of Pampas Grass. You do know about the Pampas Grass don't you Skip?

Hey, I live on that road, I really do.

Don't recall youtube being around back then phil, I am sure stuff like that happened in fact some might say we were more tolerant to it in her day as there was less public knowledge of it and of course we did support some of the regimes, as of course we still do i suppose. End of the day she was, is and always will be a heartless son of a ..in my eyes. I'm quite a forgiving sort on the hole but I can't ever forget what i saw happen to my own family and my birthlace in the wake of her heartlessness. Being right doesn't always necesarily make you right, if you know what i mean and I certainly don't entertain the 'cruel to be kind' view of her methodolgy. Cripes, it was as if she was at war with some of the people of this country! Just WHAT was her problem, seriously, what makes someone grow into such a monster as she was?

The people I was with yesterday are really looking forward to this match, it will be a nice day out I reckon and I can understand why Cherries fans want it so much. Not so sure they'll be quite so happy once we've contributed to them going back down though.

If this is another gypo reference then I will be PM'ing you my seat number so that we can discuss this in more detail. Will you turn up though? I doubt it as I sit next to Deppo.

I was referring to the ale from the Flowerpots brewery, it is lovely even non ale drinkers would enjoy a half imho. A good night and excellent Colombian music from the 9 piece band. had a lovely platter of tapas at Trago Lounge beforehand and the only down was that by the time they took a brak I was so tired that we had to come home. It had a been a long day and a long week at work. I didn't even get a lay-in this morning so am expecting to nod off during one of the meetings I have to attend tomorrow, hopefully it won't be the one that I am supposed to be minuting. I was press-ganged into minuting one last week and found myself (as I often do) watching the squirrels in the garden completely missing a colleagues contribution. He nudged me and said 'write that down then'. I was at least honest with him and said 'write it down, I wasn't even listening, sorry' He thought I was joking! adn my quick thinking got me out of it as I wrote 'New Client - Richard to circulate details via e-mail' Genius.

Too late for tonight's suggestions as we are heading down talking heads to watch these people: http://www.myspace.com/atlanticomusic Worth noting that the brook have cancelled their gig tonight so the 'heads' may get quite busy. They sell Pots too which is always good news. See you there music lovers. hamster
