1. So that's why andorid was so confident, I am guessing he was delighted that HMRC had gone to PKF, so when they opposed him, he could pull his white rabbit out and tell the judge they couldnt get the gig as there was rules preventing them being allowed. The judge just didn't listen. The intresting thing is that android appears to be right and any appeal looks like it has a reasonable case of succeeding. Not that i think andriod will get the job back, but they might go to a third party. I almost feel guilty about how many laughs this continues to give us.
2. Spot on trousers. Birch's efforts will be concentrated on getting chinnys debt off the table. I am sure someone has posted the details of three official transactions from portpin to pompey, but if it can be show that money has been paid back, then I guess chinny could have a problem. What I would say, is that if they can get rid of chinny, then they will almost certainly get a buyer.
3. Reduced transfer fees or free's. As an example, Lawerence value is somewhere between 500k and 1 million, but at 20k a week, that will put most off. If they let him on a free, that millon would go towards his wages. Probably to simplistic but something along those lines.
4. There is a fans' meeting at the Victory Bar on Wednesday at 7pm with Administrator Trevor Birch. It is admission by name only. If you would like to get your name on the attendees list please e-mail me at colin@fcmedia.eu Put 'Meeting with Trevor Birch' in the subject header. The bar will be open from 6.00pm. I will forward names to Johnny Moore. If demands outstrips supply, places will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis Stolen from one of their forums, I would love to see what they make of Rallyboy :)
5. http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/pompey/pompey-past/appleton_calls_for_football_league_common_sense_1_3540793 Words fail me. We've joked about it being a disease that they catch when they go there, but what has turned this rational, balanced man into this begging fest and the worlds against us mentality. And as for this If we can’t fill a bench it could get to a scenario where, with teams at the top of the table, if we are playing against their rivals and can’t be competitive because we haven’t got enough players then they are going to start asking questions. I would suggest that the clubs you have cheated out of points this season, by playing a squad you can't afford, at the expense of the world and his wife, might be asking a few more questions.
6. So have they used the unfrozen accounts to pay the wages, or is that money for birch.
7. I will wait for the incoming here, but; We travel well and have a decent core away base. Of course we have the idiots that go looking for it, but we also have pockets of lads that just go for the football, but when it goes past banter (Think about the billy sharp tweets) aren't afraid to defend themselves. I don't have a problem with that.
8. Yes and it is excellent..... keep checking for discount codes as well
9. "In simple terms, expenditure has exceeded income in a large way predominantly due to handing out unsustainable salaries to players on long-term contracts." Well what a surprise....but don't worry Trevor, go and speak to lumpitt.....he's got an explanation for that
10. Android has already said that the large creditors (Him and Chinny) are going to appeal. I cant really see any chance of success, but it would be funny.......and either way just makes the whole thing a bit messier
11. The upcoming CVA could be intresting.......... their largest credior is UHY hacker.....who they just butt fooked in court.
12. I hope Bournemouth take issue with Thorne. When they were in the same position, Bournemouth were offered players that wouldnt cost them to play and the league refused them....... so why is that different for pompey
13. ANDREW Andronikou wished Pompey ‘the very best’ for the future after losing out as the club’s administrator. But Mr Andronikou, who works for UHY Hacker Young – administrators of Pompey’s parent company Convers Sports Initiatives – claims some large creditors will oppose PKF’s appointment as Pompey’s administrators in the short-term. Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs yesterday challenged the appointment of Mr Andronikou on the grounds it would be a conflict of interest and not in the best interests of Portsmouth taxpayers. Mr Justice Alastair Norris appointed PKF as administrators instead. Mr Andronikou said: ‘The club’s immediate future is at least secure. ‘We wish the club the very best and hope a new purchaser comes forward to bring the stability the club deserves.’ He added: ‘I am aware that a number of large creditors will be making an appeal to have PKF removed in the short term. ‘As far as UHY is concerned, we have always acted in the best interests of the club and had opened up, over the past few months, a number of dialogues with various parties, which we should have been allowed to bring to fruition. ‘Nothwithstanding we will always be here to support the club going forward.’ Chinny to appeal PKF appointment ......
14. Well that only took 45 mins to catch up... Some thoughts; Trousers, I think you will be dancing around Waterloo when the points deduction gets announced. Patently obvious this isn't the standard minus ten o rthey would already be in place. Chinny, you've been shot, but it's a just a graze, regroup and come back stronger..... 17 million in cash now or lock the gates and don't let them play there anymore. Appless Andy _ I am going to miss you my friend, from the total ******** through to the stuttering gaffs. ....disappointed he didnt speak to the press afterwards, he alwasy seemed very pleased to see them....oh and andy can I have your autograph :) Mr Birch - A very warm welcome, I get the feeling we'll get to know you quite well Pompey supporters trust - Don't sever connections with moneyfields just yet I like Friday's :)
15. Bournemouth made the same request (To bring in extra players on no wages) and also found a player who wasnt signed to a club and offered to play for free, but they were refused. There is clear precedent here.
16. Morning ladies, Turned out nice again :) For those expecting admin to be refused....don't get your hopes up, it won't be. They will get a points deduction today though and I have every confidence it will be more the minus ten. All Saddo's, weirdo's and bedwetters to attention please, could be an intresting day
17.

DeepBlue Posted on 16/02/2012 17:59 Hey Cowes, it's called Wrongful Trading and it's illegal Report Message | Email Message To A Friend | Reply To Message

I'd rather have our debts than yours any day. Our problem is not debt, it's cashflow (From a pompey forum in response to some Saints fans banter)................... There is no helping them....seriously

18. He added he wants to buy Pompey for his son Alexander, 27, who he said is involved in organising chess tournaments Chess...... It just keeps on popping up on this thread
19. If hypothetically speaking, we purchased something from their online web site or online tickets that hadn't arrived by Friday, would that technically make us creditors and by default have a vested interest as to who the administrator was or indeed whether we felt opposed to administration or not? Just a thought :)
20. As demostrated by one Billy Sharp last night, there is no such thing as a nailed on goal.
21.:lol: Not many will get that and I should be embarrassed that I laughed.
22. My lad was talking to a wham fan last night who told him that wham would be 12th without all the penalties they had had this season. Not sure if that's true, but seems very strange if it is right........ but we have had a few oursleves, would it drastically change our league position, if you took out all of our penalty goals? And yes, I know this is a proper sad one
23. Fool! People will coming back from work thinking something big has happened as the thread grows by another 10 pages, because hilarious posters will think they are being funny and orginal by posting .... No he's not ..'. ........
24. I have a little mental switch that triggers "What you talking to this **** for" whenever someone says that................. And for more common these days, then when we were in the prem.
25. If he has finally realised how deep the shttie is that they are in, then more fool him and they deserve all they get. This was all totally avoidable.....even after the stupid "Quality or Quantity" farce. After preaching how they were the second top spenders and breaking even, he knew they were in the poo as of November (I suspect way before then, given the wage budget for the new manager, but that's a different story) He then announced the club would be ok until the end of the year, but would run out of money at that point. What he didn't tell everyone was that meant he wasn'ty going to pay the tax man. But you know what...still no biggy. January was the perfect platform to resolve the clubs woes........... The January transfer window. There's 10 million pounds there in sellable player assets (That could have been replaced with cheap freebies) and the real cherry on the cake is that you get to slash your wage bill at the same time. Sure the prices drop because you are in a firesale situation, but it wouldnt have been that hard to sell the best players and stick 10 million in the bank. Of course that would weaken the team and results would go against them, making relegation a serious consideration, but staff would have been paid, the tax man would have been paid and the other small creditors would have been paid.......but no. Lumpitt made a concious decision on who to pay and who not to pay. Him and his manager went to the press assurring the world no one needed to be sold and to prove the point, went and signed another player. The one person he dedcided not to pay, was the one that threatened the entire clubs future............And like a masterstroke from "Business Management" by Peter Storrie, that's the option he went for, believing that once again Administration would wipe off most of the debts, but the keep the squad together, a squad that could probably overcome a ten point deduction. A squad that they simply can't afford, but can be kept together by using adminsitration to wipe the debts and buy time for a new owner.........I think that's called competitive advantage. It just looks like this time, it might have all back fired. Not that I think admin will be refused, I really cant see anyone refusing it and if they do, then they still won't get liquidated on Monday. It is down to the simple reality that a sustainable portsmouth, is not a championship club and nor does it have 20k a week international players. Perhaps lumitt doesnt fancy being a league one or two CEO, but that strikes me as being better than the dole. No sympathy. These were cold calculated decisions that have led them to where they are today.
