Yep, I am afraid I do. No one is walking away fron the remaining parachute payments and Birch is on record saying that chinny doesn't get the ground, he only gets what it is sold for. So chinny will take over, sell any player he can and the club will run down slowly until the last parachute payment is in. The good news, is he doesn't care what league they are in, in fact the lower the better as it will keep costs down.

warnocks stats aren't great and no where near Adkins. There are very very few upcoming English managers with sustained success and just like being a decent English player, decent English managers come at a premium. If you read what I put, I said he was very unlikely he would even be slightly considered. But the fact that arry even mentioned his name is association with the England role, gives credence to my thoughts that he is making an impression at the top and is on peoples radars.

You are kidding yourself. I am not for one minute suggesting that he will be their next manager or even slightly considered, but they will (As will the vast large majority of Premier League Clubs) be keeping tabs on him and a watchful eye. Management recruitment at the top level is more stats and win ratio's etc. and Adkins stats are simply incredible and right up there with the best of them. Chairmen and boards, then have to consider, style of play, personality and experience. Adkins ticks all of the boxes with the exception of top flight expereince and senior player management. Which means he might need a stepping stone club, or one of the top ten to take a (Relatively small) gamble on him and in a field of hand me downs and merrygo round failed managers, one of them will, if we get promoted and he keeps us up. If we go up, one of our biggest challenges will be to keep hold of him. If you don't think Adkins is on the radar of most prem clubs.... You are kidding yourself

If it doesnt happen and the Liebherrs pull out, we would just sell our players (Strange concept I know) but even if it happened tomorrow, there is enough in the kitty + season ticket renewals to get us to the transfer window, where 3 players sales alone would generate over 10 million quid.
