http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/portsmouth/9116030/Portsmouth-may-fold-before-the-end-of-Championship-season-says-administrator-of-cash-strapped-club.html However, a source close to Balram Chainrai, the former Gaydamak business partner to whom Portsmouth defaulted after a previous insolvency, confirmed to Telegraph Sport that his Portpin vehicle is ready to assume control again rather than to see Pompey liquidated. Chainrai claims the club owe him £29 million. The validity of those claims is the subject of a legal challenge but even if the valid debts are reduced he is certain to remain a significant creditor. Andronikou, who works as administrator to the club’s parent, Convers Sports Initiatives, said: “This club has got a better income than most of its competitors. "You can’t say it isn’t sustainable. We control 80 per cent of creditors and so we won’t allow them to trash the club. "We’re trying to protect the club and them.”:lol:

I appear to have missed all the fun. Going to stuck my neck out though............. The FA will have to give points deductions if the original CVA fails. It might even be a straight relegation to divsion 2. This really could be the end

Nothing to do with the orignal point and if he has been following the team for only ten years why shouldn't he ask.... on a football forum. For what it is worth, I've got another 25 years on him and the current squad do rank as one of the most exiciting teams we have had (In my time). Of course we have to consider the leagues we've been playing in and the standard of the opposition, but as they say "You can only play against, what is in front of you". The last two years have been great and will have helped create the next generation of Saints fans. In our two relegation seasons, you could see the family enclosure getting smaller and smaller and whilst they have moved it to the Chapel, two seasons of what we have had will have saved more than a few reaching out for man utd tops. From all the shiite we have had in the last few years, why you have a pop at a young Saints fan who is clearly enjoying his football, is just a bit strange.

I have his mobile.... but you dont have PM, can you post an email address? Oh and don't forget to ask him how good Bale is
-
Much more informative
-
Used to hate the bloke, but if we pay ****e, he will tell you and credit to him, when we play well he does the same. Putting Saints aside, he is the best pundit on TV
-
Breathtakingly naive
-
Think about it in football terms. If Sainst got relegated, palyers would still get their apperance bonuses, winning bonues (for the games they won) and goal bonues for goals they scored, but ultimately they still failed. And please dont kid yourself that no one in your company doesnt get a bonus if you make a loss
-
I hope they bought decent quality armchairs
-
bbbbllllllllllloooooooooodddddddddyyyyyyyyyyyy hell!! Well respect to him for laying it open - **** or bust. At least he's rolling the dice with his money (To a degree)
-
Oh dear. HE doesn't pay himself that much. He will be on a salary and bonus structure decided in the first instance by Markus and more recently the trustees of his estate. And considering what he has acheived, I bet there isn't an owner in the top three leagues that wouldn't pay their CEO that sort of money for the returns he has given. But just to wind you up even more, it looks to me like he could be on potentially double that. If you read the accounts it suggests that the 600k is based on a half year period.

It's your daughter Brittney's first birthday. Collect ten pounds from each player to get her ears, nose and tongue pierced
-
Yes, yes pfc, I saw your little musings on fans online. In addition to showing no real understanding of your teams current plight, you are absolutely cluess as to our situation. I see that you have all managed to convicne yourselves that it is **** or bust for us this year and we will end up in admin, if we dont go up....... which is of course complete nonsense, in fact it would be two years early, but there you go.....I'm not quite sure clubs who are broke, entertain 8 million pound upgrades to their training grounds........ You are as clueless as the rest of them.
-
Football or the individuals? The Glaziers and Whyte have done very well for themselves from the leveraged deals...... Just rangers really that has suffered as a club (And any suffering that manure have endured, is most welcome and hopefully long lasting)
-
Absolutely. I posted this earlier and I think is where the waters have been muddied with regard to the PP's. There can be no doubt, if they renegociate the terms, the original one would be deemed a failure and that would be the same as exiting without one.... But surely even we would find it hard if they started in conference south, on minus 25...... actually no, it would be even funnier
-
Antonov is offering (On facebook) to wipe the 10 million CSI debt to zero, if it helps the club survive. Can anyone who uses facebook, let him know, that he has no say in the matter and CSI is now owned 100% by UHY...... Of which one of their employees, may not be so keen to help pompey at the moment
-
The questions and rumours about stopping or suspending parachute payments, are (IMHO) surely to do with the CVA and Baker Tilley. My best guess would be that in the same way the footballing debts were paid directly by the FL from the parachute payments to the creditors, the same is happening with the CVA money, which is probably now pretty much like for like (Outstanding pp vs 17 milliion CVA debt for unsecured creditors) In any event if that is not correct, Birch has already stated the old one will be repleaced by a new one. Which by deafult means the club didn't honor the terms of the orginal CVA (Unless they offer more - fat chance of that) which would incur a points penalty. We need Clapham Saint on here..... Someone posted that when the terms of the CVA are not met or sort for renegociation, the old CVA is scrapped and the debt reverts back to what it orginally was. Can anyone confirm that? My best guesstimate at this point in time.... Pompey will be run and owned by the supporters trust, starting in the conference next season.........so not quite toast, but ever so slightly browned.
-
Evening Ladies Well looks like there is a chance that the British economy has a clear chance of recovery. Not because pompey soon won't beable to stitch up local businesses, charities and the tax man for 100's of millions of pounds, every other year or so, but closure of this thread, will add unquantifiable amounts of lost man hours back into the workplace, that can't fail to shoot us back into the boom times. They better not throw the towel in before April.

They are separate companies all owned by DW 6 blah blah ....As in Markus and now the Liebherrs
-
I believe that they can be used in the passport photo booths, they have in their shops. If Lawerence opts for the balck and white prints, he can photograph his bad leg and see what it shows up. Ok, so it's not a proper scan, but in these tough times.............
-
I'm afraid not rallyboy. After the News printed the story that they would delay the unsecured March CVA payment, I went and read it (The CVA doc) and to put it bluntly .... they can. I think they have to pay Gaydamak his 1.2 mill and then the same again in August, but your man of the street has to wait Whether the authorites take action remains to be seen, but the CVA allows for 5 years to repay with only guidelines as to payment dates and no physical hardline debts. The way I read it is that they can wait 4 years, 364 days and make the total payment on the last day. Neatly worded by the android
-
They say a little bit of knowledge is dangerous :) We actually own all of the training ground, but then expanded it when the land between the roads and actual training areas became available to lease - I would think for privacy and security reasons. The land in which our latest 8 million pound development is on (Just started) is 100% owned by club. E - Please try harder
-
Thanks for that. It would appear the bushilltt virus is catching. lampitt said last week there was two million in the account, so unless the premier league parachute payment tooth fairy hasn't come early again, then there is no where near enough to get them through to the end of the season.
