Not trying to rake over old ground, but it's intresting to see how far pompey fans have come with their plan "B" and I wondered just exactly how far we got with our effort? I remember that there was a group of posters that had identified potential leagues we could join and (If my memory serves me correctly) met with the local council, arranged something with Football supporters trust (Or equivilent), but I can't ever remember ever being asked to commit to cash, or ever thinking it was a real option (And that is certainly not a dig and those people who gave up their time and effort). I should add that the pompey plan does not stand a chance of working, but credit to the few who have taken it further than I have have seen any other club take it.

Yes we do, it was released a month or so ago. Around 90% but that included a 1.5 million payout (Which we can presume was for Pardew). Obviously very high, but will fall like a stone when we get promoted.

The deal has been going on for 6 months and took 3 to reach an agreement. They didnt look like they were going up 6 months ago, so I imagine the deal has changed again now anyway. As for jw telling them to go away.... He has been trying to sell the club for years.

I think there may be some disapointed people (Assuming we go up) in the summer. We will of course add a few new faces, but I really don't see wholesale changes. That's nothing to do with the finances, but we have locked down pretty much all of the main playing squad into longer contracts and believe they will all be rewarded with a chance to prove themselves in the Premiership. Some will sink and some will swim. A couple who we might expact to cut it easily, won't and players who we assumme won't make it will make the jump up in style. Anything we have acheived has been done as a tight unit, we re not about to (IMO) rip that into shreds and bring in five more starting players. The players we have will be rewarded for their success and given a chance at the Prem. It will be (If we go up) a tough season, but not impossible.

Now some off them might not be the brightest, but I reckon a couple of them will have worked out what it means for a Saints win. It won't matter a jot what is sung or not, it is whether they allow some on to the pitch with a police line infront of them.

Regardless of whether you think it was wrong / right or trivial, it just reinforces what we all know. We are a closed shop, tight as fook and look after our own; From the squad to the pressman to the boardroom. If people **** any one of this group off, the ranks get closed. Sounds alright to me.
