And for the serious anoraks the two players in picture with the blue kit (I think i know the furthest one and down to one of two for the middle one)
-
How very sad. Don't take a pin with you inside your little bubble.
-
I doubt that is the certified fact you have posted it as.
-
err huummmm If the powers that be think we have recieved the appropriate penalties then we won't receive any more, if they don't they will apply the right amount at the relevant time.

I've always maintained that the tax case will be the one that comes back to haunt them. If they can throw in some financial irregularities on top (Which by defualt of the payment to the player, could consititue that) it could be the funniest thing since aunt mangle caught her left tit in the mangle (Cant remember who sang that)

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/s/sheff_wed/9154725.stm 2 weeks to find a new investor, before the winding up order. They would have to protect themsleves in administration, if they cant find one. Not quite sure how I feel about this. I know it was ******* horrible when it happened to us, but they still won't go down.

It's articles like that, bring a warm glow. How storries defence coming along???
-
And that's the way it will be until something goes bang in the financial world of football. Tottenham won't even be able to keep hold of him now and one of the top three will get him. But i do genuinely think that some sort of financial parity will happen in the game within the next 10 years, be it imposed by FIFA, UEFA or the FA or self inflicted through some financial disaster (ala pompey), which might just help little old clubs like us

Sorry mate his Dad was Welsh. It is a myth that he could have played for England. As is happens the rules have now changed, and if he was educated in England for 5 or more years (Which he was) then under the new rules he could have, but not when it was relevant. http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2004/oct/06/theknowledge.sport http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/internationals/8359241.stm

Fifa's executive committee last month ratified a home nations-backed proposal to change the eligibility criteria as now players with five years of compulsory education in that country can now represent that nation. (Thats a quote from last year)

Now with the exception of a couple of posts (Who get it) this is just funny http://www.fansonline.net/portsmouth/mb/view.php?id=310119 Surely we can pay whatever we want to whoever we want now. So long as the CVA gets paid as agreed? The CVA was against a company that has since been 'sold' and now has new owners. Surely the only way to change the repayment schedules etc would be via the courts agiain. Am I wrong? As for putting money in, they dont have too, they can now borrow against the assets again Could not agree more B army. I believe he has been offered a meeting prior to the QPR game, well, whoopy-doo, that is only two weeks away. How many more players do we miss in the meantime. For me anyway it is just not good enough. Why is nobody from the club not making any statement, it is starting to stink and I don't like it

He used to live in the house next door to me, but has now moved to Piley in the New Forest. Although last year a stray grockle, once got lost and found themselves in Piley, they soon relaised that whilst they were first person ever to hold a mobile phone there, it was of course useless as there was no signal, so i think we can also rule out 'Internet" connection. David Peach is innocent

I think that was the gist of what Weston Saint was saying. Although he (Leftback) clearly doesn't like / rate Cortese, the stuff he has actually posted regarding team selections, people leaving and joining etc. has been extremely accurate and not "Rubbish", leaving him quite clearly well connected to somebody. Ultimately that makes it all the more worrying if you read his post about a court case.
-
Since day 1 cortese seems to have upset a whole host of different people and I think we can include Leftback as one of those. But Cortese doesn't give a toss, he is here for one thing only and that's to win and anything in his way will be removed or belittled. I am coming round to the fact that might be exactly what Saints need right now, so have no agenda against Cortese and want him to succeed more than anything, but from the intial euphoria of having a saviour, just remember, all that glitters aint gold.

Their recent good form, may work against them. The last thing the PL want to see is pompey returning and may be less obliging in the future. Intresting to see that pompey have appealed to FIFA, regarding Inter Milans non payment of 1 million euros for muntari. Inter are refusing to pay as money is still owed by pompey to udinesse, for the same player. Lets see if FIFA have any teeth.
-
Actually, I think it will have a positive effect and expect to win. The paper that broke the story was a broadsheet and not a redtop.
-
Pathetic. We once had a police dog **** on the pitch (pre match) a parachuist who was supposed to land on the centre circle, but missed the ground (Never found out what happend to him) a member of a marching band fall over and a pipe burst under the west stand soaking everybody. None stop ******* action..... They want us back big time.
-
I dont know this as fact, but i would imagine any default on the CVA would incur points deductions from the FL
-
Beware the ides of March March is their first CVA payment. Get ready for the small print, I believe that Clapham (Our resident Administrator) found some wording in the CVA that payment wasn't guranteed or dependant on them actually having the cash (Not meant to sound as stupid as that reads)
-
Whatever your politics , its very hard to disagree with this. If a Tory had said that, we would be talking resignations etc etc
-
Cheers mate, been going for years and taken him to loads of grounds without an issue, he has proably missed less than 10 away games in 2 seasons, but he's ok, got a couple of war wounds but he will be fine.
-
Smirking ......first question i asked.....Where were your mates?? Reality is that they were a lot older, but its learning curve, and appreciate the comments
-
Indeed, quizzed him several times to find out whether he said anything or mouthed off but apparently just walking along and they wanted it, one big brave soldier took on someone 30 years younger than him> he's probably in the pub now reliving his victory

Nipper just came home beaten up by some 40 year stone island hero. I have let him go to away games since he was 15 (He was 17 last week) and he goes to most of them... Him and his mates are proper Saints fans. They go by train all around the country and have never had any trouble. Matey wanted to know where our "Youth" was. Mum not happy and doesn't want him to go again. I'm just gutted for him, he wasn't the best looking lad before he left this morning..... This hasn't helped
