  1. Need to keep possession
  2. 5 mins extra time
  3. That was a long train... I once witnessed a train of 'wall arrive at London Bridge station - it was nowhere near as impressive as this.
  4. What beans exactly? McCanns killed Madeline while the rest all ate?
  5. Well I thoroughly enjoyed my prawn and crayfish sandwiches, washed down with a dry, flinty, rather elegant prosecco. So much so that I missed both the goals.
  6. Dp .
  7. The current slow version is definitely slower and more laboured than the Dell 70s and 80s "slow" version. In my opinion it is a bit of a depressing dirge as a result, and can hardly lift the team. We can't get a happy medium. The really fast version with board-banging is simply ****e. For a superb example of how it should be sung, get your 1st May 1976 DVDs out and listen to the rendition as the players are being introduced to her majesty just before kick off.
  8. Yea - and The Sisters of Mercy did a great cover version too.
  9. Pochettino is clearly a cultured, intelligent manager. As for Gashton, I fear will never make it here.
  10. how much longer?
  11. Golden Virginia or Drum?
  12. In our early 80s heyday of one-touch passing football we still saw many glorious sweeping 40 yard cross field pinpoint passes. Long balls aren't necessarily uncultured punts.
  13. It's rather like the Sex Pistols "Anarchy" Tour - more people claim to have been there than the bloody place could possibly hold!!!!
  14. Story doesn't make sense. Any steward watching either live or on CCTV would have seen the flask passed around and returned to owner. Owner of flask primary target for removal from seating, search by police, and ejection and any further club or legal consequences. Others involved, OP included secondary priority for removal if resources permit. Demand proof - ie CCTV evidence, and say you thought is was a flask of tea. General Comment: What the **** is this country coming to when you can't have a drink and watch football?
  15. Man U losing 2-1, if all stays like it is the table will make nice viewing.
  16. Anything to do with Di Canio is bound to end in tears.
  17. I would hold up my save in football practice at South Wonston County Primary School, 1978, from a fierce curving drive by Mr Durrell, against your effort.
  18. The premier league has had a low key start this season all-round, no team yet fully up to speed and a strange paucity of goals. 0-0 would be a fine result based on our form lately. Got a feeling the Arse will be a real force again this year. Saints could be a surprise package but it ain't happening at the moment in attack.
  19. I had forgottten how Ipswich were high flyers in the early 80s. Seems incredible now. Totally unfshionable Ipswich, Saints and Watford runners up 4 seasons in a row.
  20. That Eriksen that Spurs bought for only £11.5M looks the bargain of the window, and puts VW and his cost into an uncomfortable context.
  21. On the contrary - the collective, crowd-sourced expertise on here is seen as inspirational and guiding. It's a cornerstone of Poch and NCs revolutionary plan for us.
  22. Yes - against paedophile priests perchance?
  23. No - and they are still not convinced and harbour resentment and a desire to move on to more glamorous clubs. Both signings will be afflicted with the Gaston sickness, and like him, leave quickly and quietly in a window next year.
