If it's been proven to work in the past then obviously I was wrong, but reading that they make it sound as if they housed the players themselves and have given up on that trying to save money.

Well i'd say a proper lodge for the youth players would be the best way (which is what I thought we had anyway).

Why are they hailing it as an "exciting new initiative" then? Even if it has been going on for a while I think it's pretty stupid, and seems a desperate way to save a bit of cash. Not sure why we need to do that.

If the studs were showing or the boot was above knee level I would agree with you, but I am talking about a challenge where a player swings for the ball, misses but also misses the man. Are you telling me that could conceivably be given as a penalty? Nobody has the right to tell the defender that he deliberately tried to take the man in that situation, as nobody but the defender knows for sure.
